  • Mark Kendall is the original guitarist and key songwriter for long-running rock and roll band Great White. The band has sold over 10 million records, been nominated for a GRAMMY, and played to millions of fans around the world for 40 years. As Great White prepares to take the stage at Orange Loop Fest and many other dates throughout the year, they have just announced that Andrew Freeman (Last In Line, Offspring) is their new singer.
Mark takes us through the entire process of how and why Andrew freeman landed with the band. He talks about considering original Great White singer Jack Russell and original Pantera vocalist Terry Glaze. He talks about working with Alan Niven and Michael Wagener. He talks about doing more solo material. He discusses progress on his autobiography. He discusses his sobriety.
There really isn't a stone left unturned as Mark Kendall takes us through Great White past and present, and gives us a glimpse of what the future may hold as well.

there are a lot of vocalists who are replaceable but Jack has a unique voice and he is an integral part of what made the band's sound successful

There was so many different types of genres of music that cameout all at the same time during the 80's & 90's era. It was awesome. For me, 80's rock/metal was my favorite. I grew up listening to Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Slayer, Def Leppard, Great White and so many other bands that I couldn't mention because there were too many for me to write so sorry if i didn't mention your band..no disrespect. This was the era of guitars and Mark Kendall was definitely one of my favs. Mark Kendall you Rock!!! There's so much I wanted to say but I don't think youtube will have enough space for me to write all of it. Thank you Mark Kendall and Great Wite for the music and thank you for everyone who actually read my whole comment. It means a lot because I'm from Laos and when I immigrated here to the US in 1976 (Vietnam War) I didn't know how to read or write. I didn't learn until the 4th grade. Thank you Ms. Guzman for making everyone read and R.I.P. I wish she could see me now and read the comment i just wrote. Music and Ms. Guzman is the reason why I wrote this book. Thanks again everyone.

Spent some time with Mark and the band almost 20 years ago before the tragedy. It was in Hawaii and it was an awesome weekend. They played 3 shows at a hole in the wall bar but it was so much fun. My friends and I went to a show in Long Island and Jack took my disposable camera and took a picture of me from the stage. Was so cool and that was the last time I saw Ty. But this band is timeless and I wish them all the best.

Mark is such a great dude. And I love that he is representing our recently passed mutual friend, Buddy Blaze, with that shirt during the interview.

Lardie and Kendall. Saw you guys with Terry and the show was incredible!!!
If he's versatile, can he do Heartbreaker? Or any of the other great hits the fans love....

I know how great Andrew Freeman is live and with Last In Line, but I have not ever heard him do anything with blues swagger. Mark says he can do it, and I have no reason to doubt it. Can’t wait to hear it for myself!!

Another great interview I personally thing Mark is one of the most underrated guitarist. I also saw your interview with Liliac loved that too. So is Andrew leaving "The Last In Line" then?

I wish they could find a way to get back together Mark and Jack know each other so we'll and it's the chemistry they have!! Even if it's just to put out one song. I'm my opinion Jack still sounds fantastic and by the way he was stilling in a chair when they did the Acoustic : "Babe I'm gonna Leave You" and "House Of Broken Love" Phenomenal

I'll take Jack in a stool over Andrew marching on stage any day.. Just watch the January 2022 Jack Russel Great white show vs the June 2022 Great white show... It's not even a comparison..

Jack Russell is irreplaceable. If new song maybe ok. I heard Andrew freeman sing dream on n he failed to hit that highest note. But to be fair even jack Russell failed to sing his own song with original key.
