I can only imagine what happened to Jackie Lee but how did they also treat Randy Rhoads question mark but then again where's the old saying what goes around Comes Around😊
Jake IS a savage on the guitar and knows what goes into good music, Rock and Metal. He should have received so much more for what he did for ALL of us fans and guitarist coming up in that era. Every loved him in OzZY instantly. Many of us fellow guitarists came back to Ozzie’s floundering career just because of this sexy shred king. May God richly blessed you where it matters Jake
Met Jake outside the coliseum in Portland Oregon in 1984 when Motley opend for them. Jake happened to be having a smoke out back about an hour and a half before the show started and got to talk to him a bit and he gave me a pick. I said hey Jake Williams.... he said ya, how did you know" Told him I had read in hit parader or circus (can't remember which) and that he was only getting 500 a week and thats it, he said yea but I'm supposed to get a bunch of royalties next record so it will all work out, Down to earth super mellow cool guy. Didn't act better than or stuck up at all considering he easily could have been. Crue was horrible as Ozzys crew was dumping flour on their heads from up above during their set.
The Osbournes did Jake dirty, and it makes you wonder if the same thing happened with Randy because after the Madman tour he wanted to do something else.
Also, another reason Jake was let go, he was getting more recognition than Ozzy. Where'd you hear Jake's wife overdosed? That was a big secret, nobody knew about that.
This is a reoccurring story we keep hearing from the other musicians who played with Ozzy. Ozzy and Sharon are slimy little people who notoriously used the talents of others without the generosity and respect you’d expect from so much success. Shame on you both.
Bark at the moon was my 1st metal concert in the 6th grade . There's confusion to who was drumming because Tommy Aldridge was also fired & Carmine Appice was brought in during tour . S.F. Cow palace show opening act was supposed to be motley crue but instead slade opened . (I blame sharon for that to) who knows ? To this day that was a real bummer the show would have been so much better & memorable . Jake e lee was awesome & Bob daisley was there . There's a full library of books & interviews from all the musicians & artists that got used and abused by the Osbournes ☠🎭☠
I saw Jake in 1979 in his cover band Teaser and I dont care what they played....Boston, Led Zep, Kansas, Van Halen, including Eruption, which had just came out...he played every solo/every nuance/every tone was nit perfect...he was that freakin good even before he was famous. I was 14, and to this day he still plays the majority of rock guitar players under the table years before he "made it." This is a travesty
The ironic fact here is that most of the contracts, if not ALL OF THEM, contain a statement at the end which reads "I declare that I am not signing this agreement UNDER ANY DURESS OR COERCION", I am pretty sure Jake's contract had it too...
Jake was the only person that enjoyed touring because of all the traveling . The other members of the band were already used to it and weren't as enthusiastic . Its sad they fukked him over . Hes the only guitarist that didn't do any trash talking of the Osbournes or say anything negative in a guitar magazine interview .
@@davedecker1725 oh yeah . He probably heard about Jake through the business . You learn more personally than reading HIT PARADER for sure . People IN the business probably warned him
According to Vinny, they only jammed a few times with Jake. Ronnie wanted a European style player and that is accurate about Jake's style was more dynamic than what Ronnie wanted as it walked on his vocals a bit too much. To me Jake is the best metal axeman from that era ! Vinny is one of the classiest legends I have ever met along with Jake.
Have heard similar on other youtube channels directly from those involved. However, what are your sources? Have you spoken to any of these people first hand or have you just put this together from other clips from interviews etc?
Shawn Staples lives in LA California. He hung out with many guitar legends in the Rainbow bar in the 80's. He hung out with Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, John Sykes, Michael Angelo Batio, John Entwistle and many other players. So he spoke to them first hand. In this video, we tell what we know from Jake and other people who know him.
Does anyone ever wonder hey maybe these guitarists didn't ask for a lot of money and why did they take the deals that they agreed to? Sharon isn't stupid she knows if there's a contract it's legally binding so that means these guys agreed to something either under the table or they were okay with not getting a lot of money to get Fame
I remember reading that they remixed many of the albums with studio musician a few short years ago, so the original musicians could no longer have royalties to the records.
Darth Vader, “I’m altering the deal. Pray I don’t alterit anymore.” As if anyone believes Ozzy picked up an ax and wrote the riffs and solos for Bark at the Moon! All these stories been coming out about working with Ozzy and Sharon are no big surprise. I think we kinda already knew back in the 80s. Guitar players for Ozzy got screwed. It got Randy killed.
Don't write for promises contract first ,don't trust Sharon osbourne ever ,you make millions a year in the 80s you can't give the guy behind 2 of your major albums at least a $100k piss of bonus.
I feel bad for Jake. I got to see him with Ozzy on the Bark at the Moon tour in Dallas, Tx. He did do Rhoads justice on the songs Rhoads wrote and played on. I got to see Rhoads live too with Ozzy before the accident that took him away from us way too soon.
Jake E Lee was one of the few famous Koreans in western music media at the time His family is Zainichi Korean/Japanese born Korean I think if Jake was treated better he would help be a better role model for Korean and Asian representation in American/Western media And a great role model for countless aspiring Asian musicianss
Back then any young talented guitar player would jump at the chance for that gig and likely figure everything will work its self out later. Never heard a story yet of a young phenom guy negotiating to get anything which is understndable cuz there are other guys behind you chompin at the bit who might do it for almost nothing. Ok other than the Jerry Reed and Elvis story from the 60s and the publishing to the song "guitar man" which Jerry played and Col Parker couldn't get anyone else who could play the part like Jerry. Different kind of music in a different time but interesting story.
They even tried ripping off Randys family over his Royalties, Bob Daisley wrote most of Blizzard and Diary and got ripped off. ozzy and that witch are 2 dirtbags
When I got internet and read a lot about the Osbournes...I never bought anything from that monsters again. No records, no merchandise, no tickets. Unfortunately a lot of people still support the Osbournes. As if nothing ever happened.
Joe Holmes never got fired he left on good terms why he life Ozzy Osbourne is because his father died , The Osbournes didn't hesitate to fire Joe Holmes. Jake E Lee needs to be accountable for his publishing on Bark at the Moon and The Ultimate Sin. Yet we all know it may never happen.
I think that deep down, Sharon is a good person, she probably just thought she was protecting Ozzy by being so ruthless back then. Ozzy was probably out of his mind around that time too, stressing her out. She always treated Zakk like family, why not the same for Jake? If Ozzy wanted to do one last show, they should reach out to Jake to see if he would play a few songs from that era and give him a nice payday along with Zakk and the rest of the band.
I worked in the entertainment industry for years and I know many people who have dealt with her and I can speak first hand as well (I dealt with her twice)....She is NOT a good person. She is ruthless as hell driven 100% by money etc. She puts on the nice face so people perceive her as being a kind English woman but I can assure you...she is shrewd to the bone and would stab anyone in the back to get ahead in business. She is a business woman through and through. So...if you think those qualities make her "good" well...then you and I have different opinions about what being a good person is. The woman I know her to be...is far from good. Maybe she's changed in the 15 years since I left that world but I truly doubt it.

He ripped off everyone. Randy in particular. Jake got ripped off too. Just because people play music we like dosent mean they are good people. Most of the greats are the scum of the earth. Really bad people.
Therres a whole book about the music business.i bought one.
Many have not needed to work, but he was still making music that he would use for Red Dragon Cartel.
Notice they never have reissued The Ultimate Sin. Probably because they had to give Jake writing credits. None of those songs are on any of the best of albums either.
Sharon and Ozzy have screwed more musicians than a bus load of groupies!!!
The Levy-Osborne marriage, match made in hell!
Yeah musicians are overrated 😊
Over time, I think less and less of Ozzy.
Looks like Joe Holmes is releasing something soon from his IG. I think it's the new Farmikos? The first album was amazing. He's an awesome guitarist. You should do a video about him.
I can only imagine what happened to Jackie Lee but how did they also treat Randy Rhoads question mark but then again where's the old saying what goes around Comes Around😊
Well, RR isn't here to speak for himself.
Great Rock History Kar..
Rock On..✌️
Big thanks Scott, glad to see you! Rock on!
500 a week! 😂😂😂
Very cool!
Jake Lou Williams.
Rock ad roll is a. Vicious game
Jake E. Lee is the Man !. Amazing player ! Randy Castillo was the best drummer Ozzy had !
Wtong.
The Osbournes did Jake dirty, and it makes you wonder if the same thing happened with Randy because after the Madman tour he wanted to do something else.
Get everything in writing FIRST !
Also, another reason Jake was let go, he was getting more recognition than Ozzy.
Where'd you hear Jake's wife overdosed? That was a big secret, nobody knew about that.
Jake said in an interview. He said he had a wife and he spent a lot of time to to get her out of the drug addiction before they separated.
Thanks so much for these reality checks (no pun intended)
5 cents!
The ironic fact here is that most of the contracts, if not ALL OF THEM, contain a statement at the end which reads "I declare that I am not signing this agreement UNDER ANY DURESS OR COERCION", I am pretty sure Jake's contract had it too...
Well done! I always wondered....what happened, why and what happened to him. It's a brutal business and life for many.
Many thanks for checking out, much appreciated!
Criminal
Greedy the both of them😂
To be fair, Ozzy can make a hit with any halfway decent guitar player, just be happy he even let you play.
You are obviously new to this discussion
@bansheebot2 how yo boy got hustled happened to the best of em, if he so good he can make hits by himself
Ozzy was fucking a music buisness executive's daughter. This is how he made a career after black sabbath.
Zakk never talked shit about oz
@@davedecker1725 The guy is like 7 feet tall and he lifts weights and 💩. They wouldn't mess with him .
@@user-rt9zq8rs9k Zakk probably had a lawyer look at the contract first
@@davedecker1725 oh yeah .
Remember this, Ozzy fans would give Jake the finger because he was not Randy.
The only point of fame is to become wealthy though. What's the point of people knowing you and not even being rich?
It's a shame Jake folded and quit to soon. He was a phenomenal talent as a writer and a player.
I remember reading that they remixed many of the albums with studio musician a few short years ago, so the original musicians could no longer have royalties to the records.
Yes Sharon said that she wanted to teach Bob Daisley and others the lesson
The Badlands records have been out of print for years, and aren’t even on streaming platforms. It is a shame.
Darth Vader, “I’m altering the deal. Pray I don’t alterit anymore.”
As if anyone believes Ozzy picked up an ax and wrote the riffs and solos for Bark at the Moon!
All these stories been coming out about working with Ozzy and Sharon are no big surprise. I think we kinda already knew back in the 80s.
Guitar players for Ozzy got screwed. It got Randy killed.
George looked like a dork in those early days.
Greed is a horrible thing.
Don't write for promises contract first ,don't trust Sharon osbourne ever ,you make millions a year in the 80s you can't give the guy behind 2 of your major albums at least a $100k piss of bonus.
You absolutely right!!!
Jake E Lee was one of the few famous Koreans in western music media at the time
His family is Zainichi Korean/Japanese born Korean
I think if Jake was treated better he would help be a better role model for Korean and Asian representation in American/Western media
And a great role model for countless aspiring Asian musicianss
Jake Recorded a solo album w/ Anthony Esposito bassist for Ace Frehley and Lynch Mob a few years ago...
Yeah I heard ozzy never wrote his stuff, he just went with it
All these stories would not be possible without the legend himself. He was the roots. Prince of darkness Ozzy Osbourne !!!
Jake should of kept going. What a shame he gave up because of the underhanded tactics of sharon arden.
Showing a picture of the plane that Randy Rhoads died in when Sharon said, “because if you don’t, we’ll give you a plane ticket” 💀
Let's face it. Ozzy would be a nobody without sabbath in the first place. After bark album all his solo stuff is bla.
This is called the Music Business. Charming, innit? In the end he got checks. This is a cruel life.
Watch documentary "Hired Guns" a lot of musicians in big bands don't make much and when touring is over, they are on their own. Music BUSINESS.
17K is what Jake told me.
Kinda makes you wonder why Zakk shows such loyalty to them. Surely they didn't treat him any better.
Jake wrote one of, if not THE best 'guitar' or guitar hero song in Bark at the Moon. Just rips.
Red Dragon Cartel... I'm surprised that it was not mentioned.

Many thanks, much appreciated!
@@warborn_inc. Bingo!
@@warborn_inc. I hear ya. But you gotta admit... Bruce deserved those eggs.
Aussie Osborne, gee never heard of him.
He still cooks on tha barbee at outback lol!
Ozzy used everybody; without the guitarist he had and Bob D; he would be still in his hotel room; hammered;
Heard RR’s master piece Crazy Train at the Dayton air show today; Randy’s riff lives on
Maranatha 👍☝️
I wish Jake had had a mentor early in his career to show him how the business worked.
I still say Sharon is the main one who screws the band memebers.
Jake was amazing. Perfect for after Randy
Gary Moore said that Jake E Lee was his favorite Ozzy guitar player.
I cannot believe how mean Sharon Osborne is it’s gonna catch up to her. And I think it’s already caught up to Ozzy Osbourne. If you see him lately, he doesn’t look too good. I think he’s really really sick.
Jake smokes ! Bark at the Moon stands up to this day.
