"14 Minutes Until Start" , also known as "I Believe, My Friends" is a popular Soviet and Russian mass song composed in 1960 by Oscar Feltsman, to lyrics by Vladimir Voinovich. The song was written as an unofficial anthem for the Soviet Space Program, and became a popular fixture of Space Race era Soviet propaganda, being printed several times in Pravda and even being sung in space by cosmonauts Andriyan Nikolayev and Pavel Popovich during the Vostok-3 Mission.

This is a beautiful version of the song
Indeed, this is the most chilling version i've heard
I could play this for an hour before sleeping
@@iusearchbtw4969 14 minutes before sleep
From a backwater feudal land to conquering the cosmos in less than 50 years. The working class are truly the representative of humanity...
If only USSR could unlock it's very own potential
USSR sounds like a dream on paper. In reality, a nightmare.
@@U9DATENo less of a nightmare than America. But for vastly different reasons and under immensely different contexts.
The issues of the USSR came from mismanagement, shunning technology that would increase efficiency, insisting on directly competing with the US when it was totally unnecessary for it's own protection, the detachment between the State and Party for checks and balances, lack of participation in local governments which were the basis of soviet democracy as it wasn't seen as exciting or important, despite being very important.
Some, issues literally every country; others, unique to being the first *nominally* successful Socialist Experiment.
@@U9DATE💀bro your anime pfp is a nightmare
@@ysbrand1114What about the deported peoples? Stop defending the shameful state.
Space belongs to all mankind, I love all of us and our great achievements. Glory to all the international pioneers of space, may humanity remember us not for our ideological differences; but our unity in the idea of propelling humanity onwards, forever and ever.
Until we met another intellectual lifeform saying space belongs to .......kind lol
@@inhhotan1619 So far it looks pretty quiet, and until that changes, greeting the darnkess with the optimism of our best impulses and inventions seems like the best way to proceed.
@@inhhotan1619if communists meet aliens, will thet technically become nazis since they'll prevail human life over alien life?
We have mathematic equation to calculate approximately chance of meeting other lifeforms on habitable planets. Check about grabby aliens, it's insane.
Well if we think about it, it's only the eastern european nations and the west that has made about 99% of all technological advances within space travels. It inherently belongs to all of us here.
Not surprising, Russians/Soviets really have a good taste of Music
Central and eastern European music traditions are incredible.
This version of the song is just so soothing, I love it
I love how you used two different flags of the Soviet Union in the same video.

Beautiful.
Soviet has anthem on everything nice 👍
Russians just never fail with music
0:33 "sing", not "smoke". This is russian word "Споёмте", google has wrong translation about this word
Its not google translate that is wrong, the song has been edited. The orignal lyrics were smoke, but it has been changed as kosmonauts did not smoke before starting nor did they want to make that impression. If you listen to early versions of the song by Vladimir troshin you will hear Zakurim being sung
@@levibaruch, херняяяя

If they had 14 minutes to start, where is the rest of 11 minutes?
