  • In this video I'll show you how to quickly replace and or fix your window trim and seals on a Jeep Cherokee although many vehicles are probably similar. In this case I will replace the older style Jeep Cherokee trim (96' and below) with the newer style Jeep Cherokee Trim (97' and up).

    Funny just got back from the junkyard and did the same today on a 1977 Wagoneer for my 1975 Cherokee S . What a upgrade, The Wagoneer must have spent most of its life in the Garage. Thanks for the Video.

    Replacing the entire trim seems unnecessary to me. I did this job and just replaced the rubber, which was quicker and easier than what you show here. All that needed replacement for me was the rubber that gets pulled out at 1:11. No tools required at all if you swap with a piece from any other pre-97.

    • @artboyee
      @artboyee Před 5 lety

      artboyee, could you change the rubber or was it necessary to remove the trim metal?

    • @artboyee
      @artboyee Před 5 lety

      Sergio salguero ... you have to pry up the metal trim carefully so you don't break the clips. I used a paint stick under the metal trim and tapped it with a hammer. After it came off with rubber attached I removed the clips and attached the rubber strips I bought. Pretty easy .

    A question about trim though: I noticed once after a rain that water had gotten inside of the passenger door and I had to rig it so no water would run down the wires into my speaker. My window seal APPEARS to be in good shape. I have a 98. Is there any chance there's something else causing this problem or should I look into replacing the trim like you have?
