Miss the original track, as much as I miss the original Le Mans.. Yes there was a terrible crash, but every racer knows it might happen at any moment, if you're really unlucky. This was a test of both man and machine. Durability, technique and power
6.07 Grice's car with Steve Harrington at the wheel, was punted mid corner by Gregg Hansford in Moffat's Mazda. The Channel 7 cameras never picked it up at the time, but it happened right in front of me. It wasn't just a little tap either, he almost had the front bumper of the Mazda planted into the diff housing of the Commodore.
No worries mate. I reckon that Steve Harrington was unfairly blamed for that at the time. Come to think of it, he was hit so hard that the rear wheels were actually lifted about 12 inches off the ground.

Great stuff ! Good old Dickie doesn't minced his words. Brilliant !
Minced?
“Now Grice has got to play pocket pool here!” 😂😂😂
That's mint
Thanks for posting that, I still had no idea what happened because it looked a little odd to just be a spin that he had by himself.

Did the commo and xe have power steering ?
Not even slightly. Look up recent videos of Dick driving his old cars and you'll hear him comment on the weight of the steering
