The problem with the car parks is, they are normally owned by a 3rd party company, which originally cuts cost on building of hospitals etc, if they cut the parking costs for the staff, then 3rd party companies will still need paying, this then has to come out of the budget for priorities. I don't agree with it, but I understand why it's happening, perhaps when the NHS gets into better shape they can afford the spare funds to do that.

I don’t see why being a nurse should mean you get special treatment on the NHS. My mother worked for the NHS for 50 years and regularly had to wait in A&E with me and on occasion for herself and she’d never be so brazen to believe she deserved to be treated ahead of a fireman, a plumber, or an office worker.
Your job is important, and I sincerely thank you for your contribution to society but medical apartheid isn’t the answer and we can’t expect the NHS to be a perfect service in the current economic climate. 6 hours in A&E is pretty standard and has been for as long as I can remember, we should always aim to improve wait times but we must be realistic with our expectations.

The ambulance did come on time, rushed him to hospital, was initially checked in, and then like Piers'mother, sat in a hallway for over 4hours. He had to sit in a right angle as he has no movement of his spine, he was crying uncontrollably because of how worried he was, and eventually fell asleep alone in that hallway. Negotiating any agreement with the most people of humanity is complicated and difficult; We advise Orthodox Jews and women to urgently abandon desertion and go to other destinations; all territories occupied by Israel in the Middle East will have to be abandoned, otherwise the war will continue throughout Israel. 75 years of occupation and slavery and 50,000 deaths and displacements, I advise all Orthodox Jews and women who are in the army must desert immediately. God sees everything, nothing escapes not even the consequences. Decent interview Piers, but only scratches the surface of issues people face in the UK.
    1. Piers didn’t address the “leveling up” program in the North of England and UK where infrastructure is 100 years behind that of in London etc. Why was HS2 cancelled when there is no alternative transport project in the North on a similar scale?! It will severely reduce economic growth into Crewe, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool etc..
    2. Stagnation in economy and low salaries in the UK based in real economic terms. Against price inflation salaries have grown very little in the UK since the 1990s-2000s.
    3. Housing crisis - landlord rents and house prices are out of control. Homes are no longer affordable to most people under the age of 35, why? house prices are incredibly over-valued! The same house built 50 years ago has probably increased in value by 300% mainly because lack of NEW desirable homes; 1-2 bedroom apartment buildings, condos etc as people are having less children or getting married later.
    4. Lack of sufficient Primary Care and longer waiting lists at GP surgeries leads to lack of early diagnosis and more serious illnesses, in turn increasing demand for longer NHS hospital admissions / stays.
    5. Although he mentioned legal migration he didn’t discuss the numbers entering the UK each year and what benefits or housing is available to migrants. The UK is a small island, that has a housing crisis and is already over-populated. It cannot sustain the level of numbers entering the UK, legally or illegally. It only adds to the burden on public services, such as the NHS, GPS, dentists, public transport etc
    6. High UK taxes - every part of individual and business growth and spending is hampered by high UK taxes. VAT is still at 20% why? It should be reduced to 10%. Petrol fuel tax is at 50% and contributes to very high gasoline prices. Road tax what is it for? Most A and B roads are in shocking condition with potholes, even the M6. Income tax bands and NI could also be reduced. Small business rates and taxes could be reduced, with corporation taxes increased.

All 100% right. To fix all of that will cost . Government only has what it can raise in taxes or borrow.
Another issue is that although on paper railways, post office, water companies etc are privatised they are not making money. All of that will be heading tax payers way.
As you say the population spiraling upwards isn't helping either.

Well sorry about that, but if you research into it, an ischaemic event is a heart attack. There's two types of heart attack: a STEMI or NSTEMI. Only a STEMI shows up on an ECG, so it's very possible the ECG was normal and he was having an NSTEMI. The only true way to rule out a heart attack would be if they took a troponin blood test twice three hours apart and the results were normal. If they didn't do that, then you should speak to a lawyer and sue whoever was taking care of your husband

I explained id been shoved down a corridor for the last 9 hours, so how am I able to hear my name called out ? The receptionist had a bad attitude, she asked me if i want to go back on the list, i told her i need to see a dr now as i felt really ill and frightened as I was close to passing out, i asked her how long before i see a dr and she said 6 hours minimum. I didn't have the energy to wait so i asked to be dropped off home as i had no money for a taxi, her words were you'll have to sort out your own lift home as its not the hospitals responsibility, her attitude stunk, I said sarcastically not a problem I'll just walk the 3 mile walk home. Not a problem. I've removed your name from the list, so off I walked home which took me 2 hours, I got home at 2am absolutely drained, the next day I suffered a second heart attack and was rushed straight to the operation theatre for a triple heart attack. Common Law of Confidentiality =September 2003 NHS Code of Practice This is not codified in an Act of Parliament but built up from case law where practice has been established by individual judgements. The key principle is that information confided should not be used
or disclosed further, except as originally understood by the confider, or with their subsequent permission.
Whilst judgements have established that confidentiality can be breached ‘in the public interest’, these
have centred on case-by-case consideration of exceptional circumstances. Confidentiality can also be
overridden or set aside by legislation,Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA98) This Act provides a framework that governs the processing of information that identifies living individuals - personal Data Protection terms. Processing includes holding, obtaining, recording,
using and disclosing of information and the Act applies to all forms of media, including paper and

I actually have the lowest level of pride that i have ever had in Britain. It's not necessarily all the recent tories fault, as labour left one hell of a black hole in the economy, evidenced by people's reluctance to allow labour back, but the level of corruption in the UK must be huge, tens of billions get spent on military, police, NHS, but it is all poor and underperforming. I want a new party to try now.

I'm sorry Piers was not strong enough on him. I think Piers need to listen to a lot more TalkTV and TalkRadio viewers to know the hard questions to be asked. He is a great interviewer and has had a lot of scoops this year but he needs to listen to the TalkTV/Radio viewers more to ask their questions. I definitely resonate with the NHS complaints from Piers. To be focused on what I perceive to be the problem though, it's not the doctors or nurses who I think are honestly modern day heroes - it's the administrators. So much time is wasted just from patients being lost in multiple disconnected record systems that cause unnecessary delays. The best way to help the fix the NHS is to invest in its technical infrastructure, I strongly believe that is where the biggest bottle neck exists right now. The most effective NHS trusts right now are investing in automation to help speed up wait times - I think. that's the path to keep chasing!
