I do not want to say anything negative about Shia Muslims, but I want to remind us that as Muslims, we follow the Quran and the traditions of our Prophet (peace be upon him). May Allah guide us to the right path. I would like to request that we refrain from insulting the Prophet (peace be upon him), his companions, his wives, or any other Muslims or non-Muslims in a negative manner. This is considered haram (forbidden) and serves no purpose.

    1. The prophet SAW didnt live to fast the year after, which means Ibn Abass RA was 13 when the prophet died. Making him 12 years when the prophet made Ashura hadith.
    2. The jews and the Quraish were fasting even before the prophet went to Madina. So hopefully you get this fact right.
    3. If the prophet fasted, and Ibn Abass and the others fasted the year the prophet dies, why do you have to connect the death of our beloved swahaaba Hussain RA with the name of the fasting? Its a coincidence that he was killed on that day many years later, but people were fasting before he was killed.
Hopefully you explain the fasting of Ashura without connecting dots that cannot be connected.

      Prove it.
We can prove Shiasm is false, not by Hadith you dont accept but by Quran.
Here are the main beliefs of Shiasm about Imams:
      1. Infallible
      2. Better than prophets
      3. Don’t forget anything
      4. Know all the knowledge of Islam
      5. Know everything from past religions. Have authentic version of Torah/Bible.
      6. Can do miracles. Not karamat. Miracles like splitting oceans.
      7. Knowledge of the Unseen.
      8. Can Speak with Angels.
      9. Supported by an angel greater than Gabriel, called rouh.
      10. Can speak all the languages of the world.
      11. Know when they will die.
      12. Dies with their own permission.
      13. Can see you and hear you wherever you are.
      14. Created thousands or Millions of years before Adam.
      15. God created the world for them.
      16. Will come back to live before the end of the earth. This world.
      17. Will revive their enemies. And seek revenge from them.
      18. Can speak to the Jin and animals. Order the jin.
      19. Control all atoms of the world. Wilayat takwineya.
      20. Collected better version of Quran.
      21. Born clean. Born from womb. From the side of their mothers.
      22. Can recite Quran from womb.
      23. Have other divine books. Musahaf Fatima for example.
      24. Our deeds are actions are present to them on daily bases. On the night of Friday.
      25. Only them can interpret Quran.
      26. Possess Ancient relics. Khatam Suleiman. Stick of Moses.
      27. Get to decide who enters heaven and who does not.
      28. Can bestow blessing to anybody.
      29. Quran is mainly talks about their Imams. Like third.
      30. Can bring out new religious rulings. Fast half of the day of Ashura for example.
      31. Last Imam will abrogate Islamic laws and bring Torah(Jewish) Laws

ʿĀshūrāʾ is the tenth of Muḥarram as established by (1) the mutawātir practice of this Ummah consistently throughout the generations since the time of the Prophet (ﷺ) until our times without any disagreement. (2)In Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim and others on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās; Muslim narrates:
    باب أَىُّ يَوْمٍ يُصَامُ فِي عَاشُورَاءَ
Chapter: Which day should be fasted for ʿĀshūrāʾ?
    Hakam b. al-'Araj reported:
I went to Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be Pleased with both of them) and he was reclining using his mantle as a pillow near the fountain of Zamzam. I said to him: Tell me about fasting on Ashura. He said: When you see the new moon of Muharram then count the (days) and observe fast on the 9th. I said to him: Is it how the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed the fast? He said: Yes.

    1. If ibn Abbas is rejected because he was 4 when prophet came to medina, then how can we accept any narration from hassan & hussein when they were 4 & 6 when the prophet died They would need to narrate their reports from other elder companions.
    2. Majority of shia reports dont even go back to the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, it goes back to imam ja'far and imam baaqir & they never quote that they heard a hadith from any one who lived with prophet Muhammad. Imam jafar was born 60 years after the prophet died And imam baqir was born over 30 years after the prophet passed away. Majority of shia hadith are sourced back to these two imams and they never even met hassan and hussein, let alone the prophet Muhammad So nothing is really reliable from shia hadiths anyways.
    3. Even if you accept what he is saying, More sahabah narrate the the hadith of fasting muharram than 3 he mentioned. Even the imams i mentioned along with Ali also narrate the hadith of fasting ashurah of muharram in shia books.

It's simple really, if you observe Ashura solely because of Hussain's death, then it is Bida'ah because the Prophet s.a.w didnt do that. Then again, Shi'a muslims somehow would rather follow their own books than Qur'an & Sunnah which they claim to be fabricated by Muawiyah. They also will injure their bodies on this day when Allah specifically mentions that you shouldn't harm yourself. But here's the funny part, y'all learn nothing from Hussain's death other than to wage wars in the Middle East.

      What are you talking about???
      1) Real Shias are told to not harm themselves, so people who do that are committing sin (check Iran's leader opinion).
      2) Prophet Mohammad (SAW) and prophet Isa (mentioned in true hadith) already knew what was going to happen in Karbala which highlight the significance of Imam Hussain's story. Also, it is likely that our prophet had been given the knowledge of reality in the past, so listening to Jews is strange.
      3) Why don't you talk about Saudi regime attacking poor kids in Yemen and becoming friends with Israeli criminals???
      4) Sunnis don't recommend giving food for charity in this month, why??? In my opinion charity can be done anytime and day.

As Salaam Alaekum. This gentleman even doesn't know how to logically interpret some piece of knowledge. First of All these Ahadith have been narrated by multiple Sahabah in Bukhari and Muslim including Ibn Abbas, Ayesha, Abu Hurrraira and Rabi bin Maoz etc. This is a Hadith Mutawatir if you look at number of Turuq in Kutub Sitta. As far as his objections are concerned, the reply to that is that Rasool Ullah (SAW) lived for 10 years in Madinah after his Migration. During these 10 years all these Ashab saw Rasool Ullah Fasting that day hence they would have asked about the reason or heard about this reason from their friends. When someone explain it to someone else then he will explain in the way narrated in ahadith. Anyway, Sunni Don't claim that these Ahadith are exact verbatim of Rasool Ullah (SAW,), as we know that there has been some "Hadeeth bil ma'na" transmission as well. Additionally, Ayesha RA and others also narrated that Rasool Ullah and Kuffar of Quraish actually fasted on 10 Muharram before Hijrah as well and he (SAW) asked us to add another day (9th) to distinguish ourselves from Jews. Wallahu Aalum bis Sawab.

I swear upon the Lord of the Sacred House (the Ka‘bah)! Such a day is not a day for fasting. That day is only reserved for sorrow and mourning that has been inflicted on the inhabitants of the skies and the earth altogether. It is a day of happiness and pleasure for the son of Marjanah and Ibn Ziyad’s partisans and the people of Sham.
Allah’s curse be on them and their offspring. The day of ‘Ashura is a day when all the tombs and mausoleums of the earth except the tombs of Sham cry for al-Husayn. Therefore, Allah will unite on the Day of Resurrection anyone who fasts on that day or looks upon that day as a day of celebration with Ibn Ziyad and his partisans, discontent with a transformed heart…’”

Ashura' commemorates the day that Allah saved the Children of Israel from Pharaoh.
Fasting on Muharram 10, known as the Day of 'Ashura', expiates for the sins of the past year. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah in 622 CE, he found that the Jews there fasted on Muharram 10 and asked them the reason for their fasting on this day. They said," This is a blessed day. On this day Allah saved the Children of Israel from their enemy (in Egypt) and so Prophet Musa [Moses] fasted on this day giving thanks to Allah."
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,
"We are closer to Musa than you are."
He fasted on that day and commanded Muslims to fast on this day. (Al-Bukhari) The following year, Allah commanded the Muslims to fast the month of Ramadan, and the fasting of 'Ashura' became optional. It is also reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to fast on the ninth and tenth. Ibn 'Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah fasted on the day of 'Ashura' and ordered the people to fast on it. The people said, "O Messenger of Allah, it is a day that the Jews and Christians honor." The Prophet said, "When the following year comes, Allah willing, we shall fast on the ninth." The death of the Prophet came before the following year. (Muslim and Abu Dawud) For more on 'Ashura' and Muharram, please read: The Significance of Fasting the Day of 'Ashura' Virtues of the Month of Muharram & Fasting during It
Thus, according to scholars, you may choose to fast 'Ashura' on three days (ninth, tenth, and eleventh); two days (ninth and tenth); or one day only (the tenth). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Fasting the day of 'Ashura' (is of great merits), I hope that Allah will accept it as an expiation for (the sins committed in) the previous year." (Muslim) But this expiation of minor sins comes only if you avoid major sins. It is a big mistake to rely on fasting a single day to "wipe your slate clean." If you neglect your daily Prayers or the fast of Ramadan, or if you backbite, lie, commit adultery or other major sins, fasting on 'Ashura' alone will not atone for your sins.
The great scholar Ibn Al-Qayyim Al-Jawziyya (b. 691 AH/1292 CE) wrote: This misguided person does not know that fasting in Ramadan and praying five times a day are much more important than fasting on the Day of Arafah and the Day of 'Ashura', and that they expiate for the sins between one Ramadan and the next, or between one Friday and the next, so long as one avoids major sins. But they cannot expiate for minor sins unless one also avoids major sins; when the two things are put together, they have the strength to expiate for minor sins. Among those deceived people may be one who thinks that his good deeds are more than his sins, because he does not pay attention to his bad deeds or check on his sins, but if he does a good deed he remembers it and relies on it.

The fact is 18000 kufans shia e ali done bayyah to muslim bin aqeel that they will give imam hussain side if he comes to kufa . However ubayd ullah ibn ziad was very clever and bridbed them all . Who was ibn ziad ? His father was appointed govneor in iraq by mola ali.. these were shia e ali influences too . Shimar joshi was also in the camp of mola ali in battle of safeen.. The fact is it wasent just the yazidis it was also those who claimed to be shia e ali that let down imam hussain like they did with his father . The famous hadith of bibi zainab was that these kufans will be regeetting this till the day of qiymmat. Those who proclaim it was sunnis that killed imam hussain know that the real truth is yaziid the pleet will be with the dogs in fire.

The level sectarian nonsense is epic with this one. He questions Ashura fasting hadith ascribing it back to Ibn Abbas who was 4 years old etc.. Here is what's in hadees books, and these narrations go back to Ali (RA) and Aisha (RA) -
1- It was narrated from `Ali (رضي الله عنه) that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to fast on the day of `Ashoora’ and enjoined others to do so.
Grade: Hasan because of corroborating evidence; this is a da'eef isnad because of the weakness of Jabir al-Ju'fi] (Darussalam)
    Reference : Musnad Ahmad 1069
    In-book reference : Book 5, Hadith 487
    2- Narrated `Aisha:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered (the Muslims) to fast on the day of 'Ashura', and when fasting in the month of Ramadan was prescribed, it became optional for one to fast on that day ('Ashura') or not.

However, back in the day every 10th of the month was referred to as Ashura. Your book doesn’t specify of the month since every 10th was referred to as Ashura. For example Prophet Muhammad could’ve said Ashura in Safar. P.S hope you realize this is Saudi propaganda to minimize the importance of 10th of Muharram.
