Honestly you are right. I hate to see the Nuggets go out like this but Minnesota is playing 90s ball. If you watched Jordan growing up you know what I mean. The defense is on point. There has to be respect for that and Its not about your favorite team but its good to see some new energy. OKC killed it last night. Even though the magic lost i was geeked seeing them get there and show we are not to be slept on. I am looking forward to next year. Maybe Ja will come back with sense and maybe Zion, well maybe Zion will just be healthy.

I will still take Boston. The problem with the Nuggets is that they have no one to slow down Edwards. Murray and KCP aren't equipped to slow him down. Meanwhile, Boston got the personnel to make life difficult for Edwards. They got Jrue and Dwhite, and can switch Tatum and Brown if needed. Now reverse the situation, do the Wolves have the personnel to stop Tatum, Brown, D-White and Porzingis standing out in the three? We all saw the last time they played how Antman got into foul trouble guarding Tatum and Brown. He will get abused by Tatum and Brown if they hunt him on matchups, he is too small. And Porzingis can take Gobert out of this series with his shooting, if he can return. Gobert will be useless if KP drops 3 point bombs on his head and he can't chase to the 3pt line. Boston in 7 for me

This is the first time in a long time where Stephen A Smith brought his A+ game to a basketball debate. Everything he said in his argument couldn’t be countered. I’ve learned that there are a couple important things that win championships in the NBA. First off the talent and chemistry, if you don’t have a talented team that plays well together you’re not going to win a title. Next is a good head coach, I feel that this only matters in the NBA if the team talent is close. The last key thing is finals/postseason players experience. This is the one I realize most recently. A team that knows how to play well in the postseason can win most series against a younger more talented team. For the Timberwolves I’m scared about their experience

Why do we have to think Denver "ain't going out like that?" Nuggets have had their soul taken from them. Murray doesn't like the pressure and isn't quick enough to get away from it. Porter can't get off any shots, even the ridiculous off-balance ones. Jokic looks totally uninterested and has probably already booked his flight to Serbia from MSP on Sunday. The TWolves have the deepest roster & they’re coached to their strengths. They’re faster, play more aggressive on defense, have 3-4 different guys who can guard Jokic so they never have to let up, their wing defenders are long and cover a lot of space, they’re the tallest team in the NBA & they’re surprisingly efficient shooting 3s.
Nevermind Jamal Murray not being 100% makes him way easier to defend, and they got rid of their underrated defenders & rebounders from last year. TWolves are sweeping the nuggets and no one should be surprised when it happens.

I think Monica and Stephen both make good points. Boston has the easiest path to the finals compared to any other team. The only team that might be able to beat them is the Knicks if they don't have Porzingis, and even than they are probably still going to be favored since Robinson is already out. Minnesota has to close out Denver AND beat OKC with home court advantage and OKC has looked very good in the playoffs themselves.
If it is Wolves versus Celtics with Porzingis still out or limited, I think the Wolves have the advantage, but it is very close. Going to be fun to watch regardless!

There is a media biased against the Celtics. The Celtics were organically built through the draft & smart trades. Have had multple deep playoff runs, Tatum & Brown best duo in the league. Best record in league, not saying they cant be beat but they have clearly earned the right to be favorites. People were hype win Miami won game 2 but been real quiet since 🤫

I’m not a wolves fan but I think people are really missing the fact that they have drastically elevated their play in the playoffs. To me they easily look like the best team and are proving it with #1 defense AND offense. Then you add in the best player AND closer so far IN THIS postseason and it’s tough to go against them. Suns were playing their best basketball ending regular season and was 3-0 vs wolves and they got swept. Denver was considered the best team and they’re on the door step of not just getting swept but embarrassed. Okc will have no chance imo cuz wolves perimeter defense with length will be a serious issue and they’ll get outrebounded badly.
Boston will be an issue if white keeps up his play but we’ve seen year after year what happens when Tatum/brown face good perimeter defense. They become inefficient turnover machines. Wolves definitely should be title favorites.
