Manipur horror: CoTU serves 48-hour deadline to government to book all culprits

- In the aftermath of a distressing video surfacing online where two women were being paraded naked, people of Kangpokpi district in Manipur under the aegis of Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU) held a sit-in protest at Leikop village on July 20. Participants of the protest, mostly women, condemned the inhumane act against the Kuki-Zo women.
The sit-in-protest was also held demanding the Central Government to expedite the process of a "Separate Administration" during the Kuki-Zo political talks to be held on July 26 with the United People's Front (UPF) and the Kuki National Organisation (KNO).
Slogans such as "We Want Justice", "Book the Culprits" and "We Want Separate Administration" echoed during the protest.
Reacting strongly against the gruesome crime the CoTU General Secretary Lamminlun Singsit said that if all the culprits are not booked within 48 hours, CoTU will be compelled to launch a series of intense agitations. He also urged the Centre to expedite the process of a "Separate Administration" while resuming the political talks with the UPF and KNO on July 26.

As an educated Meitei, I dint mind those culprits being hanged, or even giving them off to the Kuki public and let them do whatever they wanna do.
However you can't understand a movie by watching it from the 2nd interval. We need to understand how the violence started if we wanna solve the issue. And my brothers, let's face the truth. You gotta admit that the violence was started by your people in CCpur when you claim that the tyre was burnt by meiteis of CCpur. Nobody saw who burnt that, you simply accused the meiteis of CCpur.
Secondly, Manipur should never be divided into further states, it's already such a small states and you want further division, that too demanding your own land when your origin was never Manipur. Aren't you even embarrassed to live in someone else's house and demand your own house out of them ?
