The Hotel Indigo Cardiff - We’re Back In The City!

- It was good to be back in Cardiff. This time we stayed at the Hotel Indigo Cardiff, Dominions Arcade, Queen Street. Join us as we take a look around.
The Hotel Indigo is hidden in Dominions Arcade, one of the many arcades around Cardiff City Centre. It is just off Queen Street, one of the main shopping streets in the city centre.
Hotel Indigo is part of the IHG hotel group.
Downstairs is a small reception and a coffee shop, the hotel’s restaurant and bar are on the top, 6th floor of the hotel. The restaurant is the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Cardiff.
We did have breakfast in the hotel but did not try the restaurant for dinner.
We stayed in the standard room but like many Hotel Indigo hotel rooms, they have many local touches around the room. Generally, they felt less corporate feeling than many other IHG hotel rooms.
We even had a rocking chair in our room.
There is no parking on site but there is a hotel discount in the NCP car park behind. Although we don’t use NCP car parks as they are usually ridiculously small, unsafe and dirty. We parked in the cleaner and safer John Lewis car park about 10 minutes walk away.
We stayed for one night (it was a Monday) on the first day the hotels were open for non-essential travel.
We paid for all costs ourselves and yes, we would stay at the hotel again.

I've stayed in that particular Travelodge. He was not exaggerating. Not a bad word about the staff, but the hotel itself was horrible. I am going back to Cardiff this year, and I'm thinking of going to stay in Hotel Indigo this time. Looks very nice!

Love your format, it's just like exploring a hotel with friends. I've stayed at the Clayton a few times but the Hotel Indigo looks like it has way more character. As others have said, the window would be a disappointment. Great review guys and I can't wait for more!
Thanks, both hotels were good for the price, especially for the city centre. I think the window looked out at the back of an office hence the frosting,. I suppose you don't want everyone in the accounts department looking at you getting out of the shower.
Very nice very pricey wonder what you could see if not frosted glass there . I like you could see stadium and enjoy outdoor roof air
I think the frosted glass just hid the side of the building next door and stop everyone working in the offices staring into the bedroom

LOLLOLLOL 😆 I know many of newer hotels do frost glass doors & walls for the bathroom ,so that'll limit the guests to lovers & married couples & only very close friends so on to share those rooms !! Not really good for brothers & sisters ,or cousins ,or father & daughter travellers ,etc.!!! Lol.🤣💜🥁🎵🐉🎤🎶💞
OMG ! This is one of the hotels I'm interested in staying at with several others for our future travel to Wales ! A rocking chair ~!!? Lol. £76 including breakfast is a FABULOUS DEAL !!! That headboard's design ...the straps was very interesting ! Awww I want those sheep mugs !!! 😍👍👍I love the hardwood floor !!! The robe's sleeves 🤣👍OR do you have extra long arms !!? It didn't seem like it !! LOLLOLLOL 😆. 😅 Maybe they're 3/4 sleeves for spring / summer !!! I believe that they meant that way ! A wonderful video !! I am very interested in Fortune Inn & Citrus ?? Also Sleeperz !? In Cardiff ! It'll be awesome if you two will do the reviews on 'em ,too !! Lol.😆🙋♀️💜💜💜💜🥁🎵🐉🎤🎶💕💞

Looks a nice place,look well in the rocking chair but I’m not sure about the dressing gown.The room looks very cosy not sure about the window but staying for the night it shouldn’t de a problem.One minute you’re eating fish and chips in the rain at Porthcawl and in the next video you living like film stars,not a bad life is it.
It doesn't get better than eating fish and chips!

Nice looking place, odd about the frosted windows though. I had to laugh at the Wales stereotype of the sheep mugs..
Baaaa! 🐑 I think our view was of the back of another building so that's why they frosted the windows.

I forgot to say that I think those straps on the headboard is meant to be a suitcase ( old ) for the travelers ,so the retro phone in that room as well ! 💜🥁🎵🐉🎤🎶💞
