I absolutely love your channel since I found your face mask tutorial, I have really enjoyed it. I have not sewn anything for 20 plus years, but since being in lockdown, having pulled out my sewing machine, just making face masks has ignited a need in me. I am keen to join the sewing academy to address the problems I have never really resolved with fitting properly. Hence why I have always avoided trousers and pants. My question, can I start the academy from your fitting designing tutorials?
Hi Mimi ...I'm so happy I came across your video. It's been over 40 yrs. when I sew it was an apron in school. since then never touch a sewing machine. I purchase Singer and Brother two years ago. due to the virus epidemic, I took it out the box for the first time, I watched a couple videos to make a face mask, basically "self-taught" I'm in the process losing weight, and I like to start making my own clothes, yesterday I bought 10 pkg. Simplicity patterns most have you posing on the cover Especially like S9114 ( I'm trying to find the yellow fabric, you look so beautiful! I will also enroll in your Academy. I just wanted to say Thank for sharing your talent. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME THE NAME OF THE YELLOW FABRIC.
Petite43 I brought a similar fabric from Fabricmart.com. It’s a embroidered cotton but unfortunately not enough to make this dress in my size. I would suggest looking on moodfabric.com
Thanks so much for this video... I couldn't for the life of me figure out why we were cutting two skirt yoke fronts and backs and two skirt fronts and backs.... but its for the fullness of the skirt.. thanks again.

Mz Dee Mz Dee the academy is very detailed. Similar but definitely shows every step and not as edited and choppy as this. Here she stops when she’s sewing, in the academy she records her actually sewing at the machine. She shows cutting the patterns out. She shows how to draw patterns on pattern paper, etc.

Andrina W Yes. If it’s a washable fabric. Better that it shrinks before you sew it than afterward. Also iron it if needed.

Hi Mimi G, I take you sewing classes and I’m so back up, how long do you allow the classes to continue?
I’ve just started to work on this pattern and I can not see any where to cut interfacing for the front laps (the buttons on one side and button holes on the other) it just say interfacing on the tissue pattern pieces. Am I missing the measurements somewhere? Any advise would be helpful thanks.

Whenever the stores (joann, Hobby Lobby) open back up you should find it. I purchased this pattern back in March I believe. Someone on Etsy might have it. I usually purchase two of each pattern for a just in case moment but I think I purchased one. I’ll double check.

Question: How do you get your patterns onto the Tracing paper and sell them for people to buy and re-create?
Print them...if you can get the design on like canvas or one of those online places, from their you can sell them online.

I can't believe I just watched this whole thing with was getting so excited to see the end result. It was like 2 maybe 3 seconds of showing the finished garment. And you weren't even wearing it. How disappointing. Would love to see you in it. Try again please
