The 14-year-old son of former NFL defensive tackle Daniel Muir has been missing for two weeks and Indiana authorities have launched a probe into disturbing abuse allegations, the New York Post reports.
Indiana State Police issued a silver alert for Bryson Muir, who was last seen by relatives driving away from his grandmother's Ohio home with his mother on June 16. The department said the mother's vehicle was stopped by local authorities minutes later, at which point the boy was gone.
An investigation was launched by authorities into Daniel and Kristin Muir, both reported to be persons of interest in the ongoing case, after the teenager's grandmother provided officials with a photograph showing Bryson with a blackened and swollen eye. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound teenager, who was last seen wearing an orange Under Armor shirt and blue jeans, is suspected to be in immediate danger...

Just sharing my opinion, Pascal, I agree with you with everything you said. You really hit the nail on the head, in my opinion, when you said that the boy likely ran out to his family and got in the car because of the fear he had if he didn't. He wanted to make it look to his parents like he wanted to go be with them not at his grandma's simply because of fear of terrible punishment otherwise. That is very tragic. You also hit it, in my opinion, when you said that if the police are simply asking for them to produce their healthy alive son without injury then why would they feel the need to lawyer up. If any of us were asked to show proof of our healthy living uninjured children all we'd have to do is simply call for them to come to the front door. These parents lawyered up. Like you said, what are they so afraid then. It's a simple request that if they just complied with then it would be done and over with if they've done nothing wrong.
Seems apparent they have done something wrong and they know damn well it's wrong.
Do they honestly think they'll be allowed to just hide behind the church to avoid accountability?? The church does not out rank law enforcement. These ppl have become detached from civilian life and normal behavior and gone over the top with their beliefs. Likely distorted the original foundation of the religion and taking it to the extreme.
I'm very frightened for this young man. I don't think he's ok.
He gets beaten, someone does the right thing and tells the proper authorities but the boy pays the price. HE pays the price for getting beaten and HE pays the price for help being called. That's sickening. All he did was exist in their world and they punished him for it. This is heartbreaking. I hope the truth comes out and everyone involved pays to the fullest extent of the law. I do still hope of course that he is alive and maybe they're just waiting until he doesn't have any visible injuries to produce him but unfortunately I feel it's unlikely but I will continue to hope until proven otherwise.

A new law needs to be enacted to stop people from "hiding" their kids to avoid prosecution. From now on if you do not meet with police with the child in question for a quick assessment to prove they are ok, then you should be charged with a penalty to rival unaliving them. How many kids have gone missing and parents have been found to have unalived them but used the "idk where they are, they were kidnapped, they are with friends in another state" excuse to give them time for evidence to be destroyed. Well, lets take that advantage away from them. If they do not alert athorities immediately upon finding them "missing" (code for i did something to them to make them missing) they go to jail. Make the penalty as stiff as it gets so its no longer a tactic used to their advantage. I'm tired of all these children being unalived and their parents getting away with it. New laws need to be written and enacted. Call it the Caylee Anthony law or JJ and Tylee's law, Quinton Simon law, Orrin and Orsin West law, Harmony Montgomery law, Elijah Vue law, Madeline Soto law, Madalina Cojocari law,
....you get the picture. The list goes on and on and on. Just a few cases where parents used the element of time to their advantage. Man this list made me sick remembering all the children lost by people who should be their protectors. Sick! It needs to stop.
