Thanks a lot for this video! Hey, you need some patience and very soft motion to put off the outside bearing cover rings. I'm collecting these old F&S Torpedo hubs, but I always was been afraid to put off this two covers. Thanks for your tipps once more!

Lately I did find an old german bicycle, ready to be thrown away so I saved it, with a torpedo from 1940 aswell, this one is painted black as chrome was 'kriegswichtig' so it's strange this is in chrome.

The hardest part is to remove the chain wheel. Do you have any tips on how to do that, without any special tools? I always need to leave my Torpedo hubs to a professional shop for chain wheel replacement.
without special tools, it is very difficult. If a chain wheel is in a bad condition, you can carefully saw it into pieces.
What is the very first tool that you’re using to open “the rings” called?
