One of the best endings to a 60 minutes interview. True to his philosophy, Danny Meyer was sincerely happy that his food made someone else happy.

At first I was put off by the sarcasm & caution of the interviewer. The interviewer has no idea the burdening sacrifice of emotional scars & mental obsession this restauranteur went through to simply hand him a burger. Mr. Meyer schooled him on hospitality & picking up on vibes & make people feel important, the interviewer was slowly becoming a kinder human that gave Mr. Meyer the ultimate compliment.

Tipping is an insult in Denmark where servers and kitchen staff get minimum wage of 120 kr or $20 an hour or so they say.🕯️

This is an old video and doesn't line up with what the segment description says. Meyer is supposed to be talking to Scott Pelley about the coronavirus last night, NOT talking to andersoon cooper 2 years ago in a rerun?

Shake Shacks policy of taking your order and payment before you eat does not work. I wont go there again. You can be completely annoyed before you touch the food. Getting your order taken by a human upfront is the right way to operate

Well, if he is successful at what he does , kudos to him. People will complain on prices and food quality regardless whether , your attorney, fund manager , or doctor. Those are the usual suspects being the first ones to spout.
Now, one important thing is how he treats his employees. So far no record of abuse , or harassment ( Mario Battali anyone ? ). So if he provides a decent working environment , he does by the book.
On tipping, some restaurants , chefs will demand the waitstaff to kick up a share of the tips, law withstanding.
On pricey burger joints , well there is Five Guys and other regional joints , if you crave quality at commensurate higher prices. You won’t see a Shake Shack at your neighbourhood any soon. They might have their own demographics, so site locations are handpicked , I surmise.
    Good for him.

I didn’t know they had a coffee milkshake I’ve never seen that on my menu...
Danny’s right though it’s definitely not fast food, because you place your order and you still wait a while to get it...
Are used to love their chicken dogs but they don’t have them anymore ,they have a good shroom burger but it’s got melted cheese in the middle and burned the roof of your mouth

Ok I don’t get why people are saying shack shake isn’t good like it rlly is their fries are perfectly salted and crispy and the burgers are so good there! Like y’all litteraly said in the comments section 9 months ago that thier fries are bad and shake shack isn’t even worth money like is it me or did shake shack get a glow up because y’all over 9 months ago sayin that shake shack is bad and like it’s 2021 and thier food is sooooooooo good btw for some of you who don’t know what glow up means it basically means an upgrade like for an example let’s like u have one of them old Honda’s with those blurred out car lights right and gray painting and then you get a glow up for you car you start upgrading it you put on rims, a spoiler, tinted windows, and you know yea.. so what I’m trying to say is that is it me or shake shack got upgraded and the food tastes good bc 9 months ago I literally forgot about shake shack but then couple months later it’s 2021 and like thier food is good yo like either this comment section is trippin or y’all be livin in other countries cuz I’m in America and I’m a American and American shake shack fries are crispy soo yea either yall in another country and those fries from that country is bad or like you tried the American shake shack fries and don’t like it bc I’m telling you dude thief fries are so good I always get two fries bc each fries is the same amount but yea dat all I gotta say man shake shack is like heaven to me speaking of heaven I hope they have shake shack in heaven honestly man alright peace be safe god bless you bye guys......

    Shake Shack Sham/Scam.
It’s the NAME of the chain that draws “wannabe elitists and “pseudoecclectic” urban types-and then the fan-attraction begins.
It ain’t that great of a burger. Go to Habit Burger and you’ll never go back to Scam Shack.
I own no interest in Habit Burger.

On top of that they pay their workers not very well, especially for the price. Their fries are gross because the oil is soy and I get an instant stomach ache. The only tasty item is their vanilla and chocolate custard
