Benefits of Pruning (Mid Spring)

In this video, I will prune several Japanese maple bonsai tress and highlight some of the benefits of pruning them in mid Spring.
In summary, here are some of the benefits of pruning (apply not only to JMs, but other trees as well)
1. Looks cleaner and neat (unless you are intentionally letting them elongate)
2. Improves light penetration (More sunlight inside = more back-budding and healthy growth in the interior of the tree = More tight growth)
3. Improves air flow (reduce fungal/insect issues)
4. Re-distributes energy to where it's supposed to go
5. Encourages the tree to produce smaller leaves (ONLY SOME SPECIES LIKE TRIDENT MAPLE)
