- I don't usually play low tiers, but was requested to play the rather broken T5 Italian premium Giulio. It's been a long time since I played it, but the ship is still nuts.

I'm pretty sure there's quite a fair amount of bots in EU low tiers, got 2 or 3 today that would just W in the ennemy team without doing anything, they had around 5k average damage with thousands of games...

@@ExSpoonman No, i mean i saw a chungking being chased and killed by a 1000 HP leone at 5km away, he didn't even react to it, he just let himself die trying to shoot a full life Algerie at max range. Even super bad players have a minimum of self defence reflexes.
I maintain that the Cesare is the single most OP ship in the game at tier. It's fast, it's tiny, it's accurate, and it has crazy good concealment. It can even win 1v1s against most T7 BBs if you know what you're doing. Love the little thing.
The Cesare is (by the numbers) about the same as the russian bbs, with smaller guns. It's more maneuverable from what I remember, but at T5 most of the BBs are actually very balanced in regards to each other (CCCP Oktober excluded, and ONLY with that skin).
On a serious note, it's got the same concealment as the russians, worse than the tech tree italian, and better than everyone else. Gunwise, middle of the pack, with 320s, I seem to recall they nerfed the dispersion a tiny bit at some point. AA, well that doesn't matter, as the only real ship with ANY sort of significant AA values is the Texas, but it's all in the smallest bubble. Armor layout is decent, Germans are the only ones that really beat it out, with maybe the russians, but those are Italian ships anyway. Secondaries? Lmao. On the torpedobeat end, only beaten by the Bretagne on turning circle, and the Virbus on the rudder shift. In terms of accel and deccel, I don't have those values, but it always felt fun to play, and therefore good. Max speed, only the Kongo beats it, but the Kongo is a BC anyway.
TL;DR: if you think the cesare is OP, it's really not. It's pretty in line for all of the T5 BBs, with maybe slamming the Americans out of the water, but those two are particularly atrocious for the tier (excluding the plane removal of the Texas against the most potato of carrier players). And for funsises, I double checked some of the dispersions. The Konig beats the Cesare by 2m at a slightly longer range. The sigma might be a touch better, but not to the point of being 2.0 versus the 1.6 or something that T5s usually get or w/e.
Most people the state this ship is monstrously OP never played it.Cesare is extremely good in competent hands but give it to a noob and it will die horribly.
Playing with Sansonetti at Lev 21 and with tenth of thousand of battle under the belt does not exactly speaks about ship merit but rather the player being OP at tier V
I always says this ship is tremendously strong at promoting good playing, like a Bourgogne at tier V, but it does not wins battles on " hold W and push forward"
I've done 2 tier 7 BBs and bullyed them at that. That is after the one volley per cruiser that normally either blaps them or puts them below 50% health and they run. Once I ran into one that was specked for secondaries. That I thought was interesting.
@@orangedream267 however Konig has worse sigma (GC has 1.9), worse turret arrangement and worse turret traverse. Also as LWM showcased, the guns feel accurate because they are very close to each other since the ship is so small. What makes her OP is the entire package: slightly slower than Kongo but way more agile (turning radius is very tiny) with excellent concealment, small and hard to hit, hidden 85mm hidden plate inside the bow which negates nose-in citadels, surprisingly effective HE with high fire chances and increased pen, decent AP pen at range. If you want a solid proof this ship is so strong, WG gave her 4km ASW planes, thus making her artificially crap at dealing with a single class.
I mean, the Giulio is a good ship on Tier V, no doubt about that. But luckily WG already has sold a solution for this: Submarines.
The Giulio has by far the worst anti-submarine defense of all tier V-BB's - and I would have liked to see a round where Flamu meets two submarines in the opponent team. Not that I don't trust him to master that as well .... but probably with much bigger problems (which means that the every day player needs a hell of a lot of luck - and a good team - to manage such rounds).
18:13 also applies when someone argues with Flolo, a huge majority of the time.
It only applies because he's the biggest WG earner. Referrals probably netted WG millions.

The AP is awesome and the HE with its high fire chance is also good against bow in targets so you have the best of both on this machine.

I'm regrinding a few lines and this (and Kamikaze) are a pita to run into. GC has the equivalent of Petro rail guns that go through anything at mid tier. One promptly took out 8 ships and even his team was asking WTH is going on.

Yes Julio Cesare is way OP in tier 5 now in tier 7 its a bit more of a challenge, I play it occasionally when I want to have fun , but I do feel bad for the others ..

Isn't it safer to just aim at the upper belt when firing against a Bayern? You won't get a citadel hit anyways and the upper belt will still arm the fuse of your shells.

Same dispersion shenanigans that made me HATE the Kongo (one of many examples). If anyone plays sometimes T4, I will recommend the Myogi. Truly a monster.

Myogi was a riot in the closed beta when they were still messing with armor, and hit boxes. Funny to watch a DD explode because you hit their Cit with one shell.

That ranger.... made me remember that I encountered a Super Ship last night, that after we beat his team, he had 10 XP.... what the hell is going on anymore? Man had 600 battles played and not a single ship above tier 7.
The GC is supposed to have good dispersion but as WG shows us every time they say anything, the words that come out of their mouth vs what is actually in-game are almost never the same.
Start new account - buy GC - you'll have god-like dispersion and get a bunch of bots/retards on the enemy team to free-farm.
It's because the entire game is fucking rigged on every level.
Loot boxes - rigged.
AA Flak hits - mostly rigged.
Dispersion - definitely rigged.
Fire/Flood - absolutely rigged.
MM - long proven to be rigged from WoT community.
It does have though. It has 1.9 sigma which is very good for a t5, sure it has the italian/french dispersion pattern which is.. wonky but she's quite consistent overall

I remember when the AP did pen damage to DDs and this ship was the bane of puny bots if you knew to shoot them when they where turning away.
Most OP ship in the game, CVs are cancer and subs are cholera so they don't count

I play a lot of T7 cruisers because it's fun and reasonably balanced tier. The GC though is a broken as hell and scares me more than many T8 BBs because it can Cit CAs 2 tiers higher at virtually any angle. Shell timings are utterly rubbish and grossly pay to win. Also, I hate to give away a secret, but the Bretagne is almost just as bad. T5 and 6 cruisers are an automatic Cit at virtually angle. Pre nerf Konig wasn't quite that bad. Low tier BBs are absurdly misbalanced and shell timings are the main culprit.
WG fails to balance high tiers, why do you think they can balance low tiers that don't get much attention?

!7:07 - 17:12 The DD is giving you a hard time in destroying him because your ship keeps ignoring torpedo hits that clearly have traveled more than far enough to arm. You actually had two incidences of this where the CV and the DD dropped spreads that some clearly hit, even in James Earl Jones' character on :Hunt For Red October" speak you heard "Hit The Hull". This time link I gave if people turn up the sound, you can hear at least three hits and not a single point loss. In that instance the torps came from the torpedo planes... and unless there's some mechanic that prevents damage from attacking planes when the CV is no longer in the game (not logical if true) then we can say you should've been much closer to sunk if not completely sunk with the two incidences of this happening so close together. So, the DD giving such a hard time to be sunk may have been a balancer. Either way, you eventually got him as there wasn't really much he could do at the border with you closing in.
Have you heard about torpedo arming distance?
Turning into torpedoes to cancel them is an actual mechanic. All ships that carry them have a minimum arming distance, under which a torp will just hit a ship and not cause any damage. With DDs, and a lot of Cruisers, the distance is fairly small, so to escape you'd have to nearly scrape the other ship to evade the damage, whilst not actually touching them to avoid it being counted as ramming.
On some of the torp-carrying BBs and on CVs, the arming distance is greater, allowing for some room in turning into the oncoming torps to cancel them.
The Serov, in particular, even when running the reduced arming distance Captain skill (I don't remember its name), whilst having a large drop size, has a VERY long arming time and very slow torpedoes, making them useful against the slower T5 and T6 BBs, but not so good against fast stuff like a GC or a Kongou. For Cruisers or DDs, you have to really predict where they might turn and give a very generous lead to have a hope of landing a hit.
Other CVs are much better at this. The German torps arm far closer to a target, so you can drop later to give them less time to react, and the Americans are a happy in-between, though for pretty much everyone other than the Russians, you have to make multiple runs on a target whilst your squadron is steadily getting shot at (this is why the Russian CVs are so OP at the moment, since you can usually drop from a longer distance anyway and your planes return immediately to the boat, meaning less damage to the squadron over the course of a match).

@@vtr0104 I mentioned that, as I was able to count all the way to 6 Mississippis before the torps actually made it to the ship. That's a really long time to arm considering low tier Torps from planes really don't go that far to begin with...
@@joncouncil4454 just look at CV arming distance. Look his other videos (or flambass') for reference. CV has a very long torp arming distance compared to DDs. But seeing your comment, I believe you have less than 1000 battles so you don't know.
Flamu, quit complaining about bad dispersion. Every time you say your salvo is bad dispersion, I look at it and think, "wow, that looks like my good dispersion".

GC - disgusting pay to win ship. It epitomises a lot of what's wrong with Wargaming and World of Warships.
