- Carnival Excel Aft Suite 15495 on Mardi Gras
Sail Date: October 9, 2021
We are certainly not professional content creators or video editors so I apologize that the quality isn't very good. Let me know what questions you have about the suite or the ship and I'll be happy to help!
WHAT WE LOVED ABOUT THIS SUITE:
1. Location is close to lido buffet, summer landing, pig & anchor, heroes bar, and the MDR (Palm Restaurant)
2. Doesn't feel too far from the main areas on the midship on decks 6-8 due to the layout of the ship.
3. The toilet and washroom separate from the main shower area is nice.
4. The door between the living room and bedroom can be closed.
5. The door to the walk-in closet can be closed and locked for use as a changing area.
6. The balcony is just incredible. Lido deck overhangs providing shade and shelter from the rain. I relaxed and read a book one night in the hot tub during a rainstorm and didn't even know it was storming until I heard the thunder and saw lightning.
7. The shower is an experience! There are 3 showers: rain shower, the wall jets for your body, and a handheld shower. You can use any combination or all 3 at the same time.
8. The main aft part of the balcony doesn't get much of a breeze but the side does which is nice on a hot day.
9. The cabins on deck 15 have the most privacy of any Excel Aft Suites due to the terraced style of the aft decks. People can only see you if you are near the railings.
THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN BOOKING:
1. Location is far from the spa & fitness center and anything else in the forward part of the ship.
2. Bolt rollercoaster is right above so it is loud and shakes the room.
3. You can hear the people in the hot tubs on summer landing while on the balcony, even up on deck 15. It can be an annoyance if you are trying to relax in peace & quiet.
4. You can hear the neighboring room from inside your cabin if they are outside on their balcony.
5. Lido is on deck 16 directly above this suite so you can hear the deck chairs moving.
6. We definitely felt the ship moving a few nights, common for aft cabins.
OMG the best part was the bride's wedding dress and cathedral veil! I love!!!!
Congratulations! Couldn't have picked a better more romantic Suite! My Bride and I will be enjoying this same Suite (Port Side Deck 14) in April for our 25th Wedding Anniversary.
Congratulations, that dress was off the chain, and your ring when you showed the light.👍 I'm wishing you many years of good health and happiness 💖
Thank you!! 💖
What a great room!
Congratulations! 🎉❤️🎉
Omg I loved your pics at the end of the balcony lit up at night - it’s beautiful and you in your wedding dress as well !
Thank you!! There’s nothing quite like relaxing in the open ocean at night in the hot tub.
Congratulations, all the best wishes to you both!
Thank you this is a great video! Congratulations on your marriage!
Thank you!
congrats! this was an excellent video - thank u for sharing!
Thanks for the video! I have this suite booked for the July 30th sailing!!
Congratulations, I wish y'all a long and prosperous marriage!
Beautiful
We have this room booked in 2023! Might be silly to ask but is that a coffee maker on the shelf?? It’s the little things for me :)
You’re going to love it! So the suites were supposed to have coffee makers in them (Keurig’s I believe) but they don’t yet. Not sure if that is due to covid or if they’re no longer going to include them in the suites. Bar Della Rosa (hidden gem) and Lido Marketplace are right above though which is convenient.
Congratulations! My husband and I just booked this for our anniversary in December of 2023. How did you like the room especially the balcony and hot tub any suggestions/tips?
Thank you! We loved it. The side of the balcony can get windy but it’s fine when you’re in the hot tub because the glass blocks it. The ship is the best Carnival ship we’ve been on. Check out the panini place. Bar Della Rosa is just one deck up and is great to get a coffee & avoid the huge line at Java Blue. Definitely eat at the Italian restaurant for dinner if you’ve never been! It’s still free. The entertainment at the atrium stage is awesome. Enjoy the chuckle in the elevator (you’ll know it when you hear it!)
@@jackiespaid3823 I laughed like a 5yo every floor we stopped on!
I love your video! Would you mind answering a question. In your opinion, would you say this room is wheel chair friendly? My husband is in a wheel chair due to a brain aneurysm. Thanks in advance!
Thank you! The cabin size is certainly large enough but there are some thresholds to cross over such as the shower and balcony, so I don’t believe Carnival considers it a true accessible cabin.
Is there an entrance to the bathroom from the living room area?
Yes, you could get to it from either the bedroom or the living room.
How was the noise from the deck above? Chairs scraping? etc?
Opps. just saw your whole input - thank you for that!!
i want to book this room for a group of 4. did you have any problems/unnecessary payments trying to book this room for 2?
We wanted to book this room for 4 but they wouldn’t let us because the occupancy wasn’t set that way. They have this suite for 4 people but it will probably be a different cabin number.
@@jackiespaid3823 carnival isn’t letting us book for 4 either. did you guys end up booking for 5 or just 2?
@@ididntnameityet7464 just two. We called & talked to many people at Carnival but no luck. It ended up working out though because we had to cancel the kids’ room due to covid (vaccines weren’t available for our youngest when we sailed). They don’t have many of this suite for 4 and they usually book up way in advance.
@@jackiespaid3823 thanks!
