Thank you! The cabin size is certainly large enough but there are some thresholds to cross over such as the shower and balcony, so I don’t believe Carnival considers it a true accessible cabin.

@@jackiespaid3823 omg u definitely need to get something booked then!! cant be going too long without getting on a ship - do u generally stick with Carnival or sail other lines? I'm trying to get to platinum so will probably be with Carnival for a while yet

@@adjustableWench I finally hit platinum on Carnival last year! But we’re looking to try a new cruise line. Haven’t decided - Royal, NCL, MSC, Celebrity, Holland America, Princess, can’t decide! We have a 6 & 16 year old so some of those lines don’t have as much for them. Have you done any other lines?

@@jackiespaid3823 oh good deal! i have 46 more to go to get platinum so will be a while for me lol - my first 2 cruises ever were on RC Grandeur of the seas back in 2007 and 2008 when i knew nothing about cruising - didnt sail Carnival til 2014 on Paradise and definitely learned i DO NOT like the smaller ships - much prefer Dream or Vista class. Which is why Horizon is next up for us to try - wooo!

@@jackiespaid3823 been a few months but Horizon was awesome! so was that corner cabin - have the one in this cabin coming up in August and have booked the corner again for March of 2025 and same on Panorama for December of 2025 - i think we are stuck with being in Havana at this point lol

We slept just fine. I recall hearing the deck chairs moving but that was more during the day than anything. Even then, I had some of the best midday naps on that balcony! I can’t wait for my daughter to be old enough so we can book this room again. Enjoy!

@@chelseyrenae9880 ive stayed on deck 9 just under lido i think 3 times now - dont recall ever having an issue with excessive noise - love the overhang as that gives u some shade as well so u will probably be fine!

Yes this cabin on the Horizon includes Havana access and it is wonderful!

Yes! We went on this same ship with my sister and brother n law. They had this exact cabin and it allows you access to the private Havana area below on deck 5. You will receive your wrist bands to access the Havana area in the cabin when you arrive. You can also see this information in your booking info on Carnival's website under your account.

@@jackiespaid3823 Loft 19 is on Mardi gras tho - not Horizon. On Horizon this room IS in the Havana area so it would have access

@@jackiespaid3823 ooooh were u able to stay in that suite? we sailed Mardi gras last July and somehow we went from a forward balcony to an ocean suite to a forward corner suite and out of nowhere was able to snag the aft corner suite on deck 9. was not anywhere near as bad with noise as i kept hearing it would be(not sure how anyone would know that with it not having sailed yet at the time i had heard that) that balcony alone was worth it tho!

We wanted to book this room for 4 but they wouldn’t let us because the occupancy wasn’t set that way. They have this suite for 4 people but it will probably be a different cabin number.

@@jackiespaid3823 carnival isn’t letting us book for 4 either. did you guys end up booking for 5 or just 2?

@@ididntnameityet7464 just two. We called & talked to many people at Carnival but no luck. It ended up working out though because we had to cancel the kids’ room due to covid (vaccines weren’t available for our youngest when we sailed). They don’t have many of this suite for 4 and they usually book up way in advance.

Thank you! We loved it. The side of the balcony can get windy but it’s fine when you’re in the hot tub because the glass blocks it. The ship is the best Carnival ship we’ve been on. Check out the panini place. Bar Della Rosa is just one deck up and is great to get a coffee & avoid the huge line at Java Blue. Definitely eat at the Italian restaurant for dinner if you’ve never been! It’s still free. The entertainment at the atrium stage is awesome. Enjoy the chuckle in the elevator (you’ll know it when you hear it!)

You’re going to love it! So the suites were supposed to have coffee makers in them (Keurig’s I believe) but they don’t yet. Not sure if that is due to covid or if they’re no longer going to include them in the suites. Bar Della Rosa (hidden gem) and Lido Marketplace are right above though which is convenient.

They are so worth it!

Dianna Boothe Boothe thank you! This floor the balcony is completely in shade. The cabin on the 8th floor would be nice if you want to suntan on your balcony. The 9th floor overlooks it so there is less privacy - just something to consider based on your preferences. Personally, I would recommend any of these on the 9th floor if they are available simply for the shade & privacy.

@@jackiespaid3823 i always try to get an aft on deck 9 where applicable just for the shade and the fact that no one can look down onto our balcony - one of the best choices out there! we are planning to sail Horizon in 2024 and im hoping to snag one of these aft cabins - that it happens to be in the Havana area is a bonus!

Thank you! At times it was noisy from the deck chairs moving around, but we didn’t hear people talking and overall we didn’t feel it was noisy. Since we upgraded to this room we made good use of that balcony all week & would book it again in a heartbeat! PS pardon the messy bed! 😆

@@jackiespaid3823 ok. Thanks. I appreciate your feedback. Yes, me and my girl plan on using that balcony to the FULLEST ourselves. But since we will be on a 6 day Western Caribbean cruise, we plan to utilize our time taking in as much of the sights and activities that will be offered both on and off the ships each day we're away....so little time will be spent in the room except for mostly late nights to say the least. Thanks again for your input and honest opinions. As far as the bed goes, no problem. Who has time to be worried about a messy bed when your too busy having fun on a ship such as Horizon!🤣👍🏾

Thanks for the video. My wife and I have booked this room for our anniversary cruise in 3 weeks. Looks like a fabulous location. Seems like you can look down onto other balconies below but nobody can see down onto this one since it's on top and has the overhang above. Possibly a bit more privacy? I'm looking forward to it.

@@davidm8985 i can attest to the "more privacy" thing as we have had at least 2 cabins on deck 9 on different ships that had that overhang - now thats most of the reason i will book one so no one can see down onto ours. well if cruising ever starts up again lol our next one is an aft corner suite on deck 9 on the mardi gras which unfortunately is not the highest for aft but im not going to complain given it has its own hot tub and i happened to check and someone had cancelled haha
