Finally someone understands the railyard and how public transport should work. Placing the busdepot away from the city but not make routes at once. Than find a good spot for the railwaystation. I see so much troubles at other maps around this subject. But it is also nice how you placed the bridge (pillar on the island) and a hill next to the bridge to make the landscape look like it was there like that for years. Keep up the good work!!
What's the issue with creating the bus lines right away after placing the depot?
Why does it seem so easy and smooth when you do it, and then when I try to replicate I just end up doing chimpanzee noises and crying at my own mouse ? You make it seem so easy ! :D great video once again, this is amazing work !
Ah, very relatable indeed...
How has FewCandy only got 25000 subs!? I had to double check that this wasn't an old episode... My mind is blown! 🤯
Omg that ore crane thing was HUGE. I’ve never seen an asset that big lol.
There are si many city builders that just make grid and use fills to zone without any thought behind it. I love coming here and see how it supposed to be done. Keep it up and please continue the series. Learning a lot!
As a brand new player to the Cities Skylines series I am happy to see this playthrough continuing on. I wanted to say thank you. The 80 Tips and Tricks video brought me to the channel which helped me out a great deal. Plus I have learnt a lot in the 2 episodes of the playthrough so far. So, thank you very much. I appreciate the time and effort you have put into the videos. Please keep up the good work. I can't wait to see more, learn more and watch your city grow.
Ahh thank you! Glad you feel you’ve learnt something from it all, and welcome to the channel 😄
Thank you for the warm welcome. :)
One of my favourite builds atm
This little town is turning out so pretty, It's going to be really nice to see how you handle the more built-up parts of the map (perhaps little villages placed around resource deposits as well?) really looking forward to seeing more of this series.
Thank you! The idea of little villages sprouting up around resources I love! Thank you!
The tiny quarry looks awesome. Did you hear that McWelshman is working on a UK theme? How awesome will it be to have some two story low density houses as well as terraced houses.
You, @infrastructurist and @twodollarstwenty ...are by far the best city builders. Your building process is fun, not boring in any way. It's green lots of trees, grass, parks, green spaces between buildings, not concrete everywhere, that grey can be depressing.
I just want to share my love, admiration and addiction to your builds, absolutely beautiful. Your music and commentary is excellent aswell. Keep doing the great work. Absolutely loving it.
Ahh thank you!! I feel honoured to be mentioned alongside those two names! Glad you’re enjoying the series!
please continue this series ❤❤❤❤❤❤
yes yes yes
LOVE THE LEVELS OF HEIGHT! Knocking it outta the park again i see 🤩
so glad you’re making a series out of this build. the way you cultivate your cities feels so natural and realistic. I love how you take your time with details and put so much thought into it! also learning so much about gameplay of CS2 while watching you as well!
Thank you, that’s good to hear! 😃
I laughed so much at the ore machine spawning in! I think the ability to draw polygons for the industrial areas is an amazing feature of the game and definitely lends itself to the County model with large fields
The city builder I wanna watch, so beautiful and realistic ❤ more please
You could call it Riverfew, sort of like Infrastructurists Riverview
With how much you are amazing at detail love to see a banished let’s play on here as well cause to see what you make would be so cool even with mods make cool middle ages town
You could call the town Laguardia because it sounds cool! Congrats on 25k! 🎉🎉🎉You are also Gaining more so yay Few!!😊
Thank you!!
I love being able to plop without a road. Taking it slow is a must in the game now. I'm trying to get used to spreading my build out more for the space, build looks great!
That ore grinder was a tad surprising popping in there!
County name suggestion = Highland County, which gains its name from the sloping highlands.
Village name suggestion = Woodland Acre, which gained it name from the 1acre woodland square donated by locals to start up a village.
Absolutely love each of your videos and this will become another amazing series! Keep them coming!
I really like how the city takes shape and can't wait to see how it continues.
Love the landscaping for the bridge.
Your planning is awesome. Subscribed.
I found her today, and subscribed instantly 😊
@@ally__jrSame here. A rare combination of building both beautifully and reasonably
Finally someone who did buses right in CS2!
I really enjoy your editing style. The speed ups of zoning and the like are great, not too fast that we cant see whats going but fast enough to keep it interesting! Its oddly satisfying seeing everything getting zoned in!
About the weird shadow on the retaining wall, you can try a workaround by going to advance graphics and turn off "terrain casts shadows" or something like that.
I don't know if i love your channel more than your accent to be honest, in any case, great content! I'm starting my journey into this game and your videos help me a lot.
Really enjoy how thoughtful you are in planning and building, keep it up!!
Thanks for some great hints, starting at 1:13. Never saw that option on the brush tool! Watched several new-to-me YT creators recently, subscribed to few. You're one of those I'll be checking in on.
Thanks again!
Ahh. This helped me figure out a couple of things with rail lines that were kinda driving me bananas. Thanks!
The “crane” that popped up was “bagger 293”, the biggest machine in earth. Featured in ghost rider 2
That crane was awesome and would have been such a great point of interest in the town. 🤣
Its a happy Saturday with a Few Candy CS II video! Congratulations on the 25,000 subscribers! Things I love: how you go slow, and considered -watching your videos are never jangly and jarring, but at once relaxing and inspiring; how you think about things like a little shop for the workers; how you manage all the elements of the game with such finesse. Brava!
Ahh thank you!!
With the mountain view at the back, I'm going to suggest Vellyn Harbor. But that would mean you build a harbor in the coming episodes which I hope you would, if you do, continue the series. Please do continue the series! But, we could also go with Vellyn View. And, ofcourse the inspiration's from Helvellyn.
Thanks for sharing how to build in hilly terrian and making sure it looks natural.
Nice series. If I'm not too late, I think Bustle is a good name for your city. It means to move in an energetic or noisy manner, which of course is what a city represents. Denizens would be Bustlelites... 😏
So glad I found your channel just wanted to come on here and say how much I enjoy this series so far, really excited to see it continue. Thanks :))
Thank you!! Glad you are enjoying it so far!
Great to see this series continue! Sadly not able to play the PC version of the game yet (computer is not working right), but watching these videos is filling in a gap. It is sad how exciting I find the feature of automatic retaining walls though.
***One thing i have noticed, and just found myself, is if you have road services, you can make yield signs. At a lighted intersection, stay selected on intersection light and click the intersection, will change it to a yield to the main road, ergo 2 lane yields to 4 lane, 4 lane to highway. If you select stop sign it changes to stop sign, and click again, goes back to light. 👍
Hi. Just a quick comment to say how much I enjoy and appreciate your videos and commentary. As a one-handed Cities Skyliner, I get great inspiration from you and your videos. Much appreciated. Thanks.
HI! I'm a brand new player to Cities and these two episodes have helped me more than some other random tips videos! Subscribed and can't wait to see this city evolve :)
Thank you! And welcome to the channel!
Congrats on the 25k subs FewC! Well-deserved.
Another great episode! It’s really making me want to play, but I’ve been away since the game came out and I’ve not had a chance yet. Thanks to your vids though, I have a pretty solid foundation on how to start!
oh boy! Can't wait to see the names
Loved this video! Looks so good! 😊😊
Loving your build and vid's. You have such an eye for detail and great planning which makes the town look so good! (I must stop flattening and marque zoning the whole screen >< ).
Want to say thank you for putting out all this great content!
Love it love it love it. Keep up the great work. Sorry I have no city names, I lack imagination. 😢
Excited to see more of this city.
Love this build. Feel like you and Egg have really hit the ground running with CS2. Outstanding work.
Ahh thank you!
Feels great to come back... ❤❤
Thank you for making these videos! 😃
Loving your work, subscribed!
I'm always impressed that you make your builds as realistic as possible and still look good.
Given your love perhaps the region can be Spruce Candy (county in some dialects 😆)
Not quite sure of city and town names yet but one should end in -mouth.
Lovin it!! Spent my first day playing on CS2, really enjoying it, especially with the new patch. It’s not killing my pc.. Started to make money after I set up cargo links, and 7k pep.. ☺️
The smoothest slopes come from going more parallel, and less tangential, to contour lines.
2:55 Oh god... why does that tornado look so bad? And on such a clear day too! The first game at least made the weather rainy before the tornado actually formed!
Edit: Wasn't expecting such a negative comment to get a heart. I'm not meaning to crap on people who enjoy the game, I just have my own gripes about it.
I'm commenting this not long after opening it, show must go on !
Not sure if someone already suggested it but surely we cant ignore Two-nilla City / county as a name suggestion ;)
Great build!
Im on the fence about buying CS2 but your videos are slowly making me more likely to buy it :)
Nice to see the series back. My suggestion for the town name is Roseville. ☺️
I don't think you get any disaster warnings until after you set up your communication towers for radio and internet, even then you would have to keep a radio station on to hear it, I think. Also I think you have too many vehicles on both the train and bus lines. I think one train right now for each line should be enough, and perhaps 4 for each bus line, that should also reduce the expense somewhat and check all ticket prices to encourage usage..
Very nice content! I love how you build your town around the esthetics you planned for it rather than spamming grids everywhere like some others. Also, I see that you let the demand rise and stay up. Is that desirable? I try to satisfy the demand as fast as possible, but it often leads to a lack of space on my maps and then I completely lose control of the "design" aspect. I currently am at level 8, on my map, all the expansion contracts are used, and I still don't have enough space to reduce the low-density demand. Also, I find myself always lacking "uneducated" and "poorly educated" people and my industries can't hire enough because if it. Do you have tricks for that?
Continue the splendid work. You've got a new subscriber. ;) Also, for the name, you could call it FewHillsBorough.
the ore crane was a real jumpscare indeed 😂😂😂
Always love your videos FewC!!!!!!!
Awesome video. Would love to see more
Thank you! The next episode is out now, we'll continue it as a series!
Nicely done FewC! I loved the HUGE ore extractor (a bug?) 🤣25K! WOW! Maybe Candyland for the city name? 😎👍
#CS2 #FewCandy Glad to be playing CS2 along side you!
The skatepark was the first thing I put down, I do hope they get updated with skaters and general park-goers
Definitely, I'm really missed seeing people active in the sports parks!
Just discovered your channel, FewCandy! I love the pacing of your city building and commentary. Keep up the good work and consider me a new sub :)
Ahh thank you! And welcome to the channel!
Starting to look like a great city
Thank you so much!
loving your style
me: I like little shops, industries, and houses.
colossal order: how about this crane ?
Since you wanted more spruce, the first thing I can think of, given this map terrain and spruce territory, is the northeastern United States. Looking at Maine down to Rhode Island, some candidate river delta cities include Portland, Portsmouth, Boston and Providence.
Calculating the look and feel of your city, coupled with the theme of spruce, I call it Dapperford, a portmanteau of the word's synonym, and a suburb in Boston.
You have really nice railroad curves
I think the usual suspects of youtube creators are struggling to get CS2 looking anywhere near any kind of right currently, but you're doing it with this town!
Ahh thank you!
Another amazing build, FC!!! Your play with heights definitely adds a different element to the city!
That ore mine drill 😂😂😂. It did look good, though.
However, watching other creators as well, it seems that you can not build/zone industry based on the type of specializations. Is that the case right now?
Loving the content, new sub 🫶
Just wanted to say I appreciate your videos! They are very lovely and at the same time filled with a lot of good tips and tricks on how to get our cities to look better! And I also want to sneak in a question about the one unit roads without sidewalks, can people still walk along them?
Yes they can! And thank you, very kind words! 😄
Thank you for mentioning the tax bug as well. It is so hard to get the budget balanced or even green
You should put down a geothermal Power plant
Great video. Just ignore all the winning children and their comments really appreciate your videos. CS2 is an excellent game and is only going to get better.
City name suggestion: the channel name mentions candy. Its Halloween week. Treatville. Treatsburg.
Merci !
2x2 houses would make more sense in the area around the coal mine and the forestry industry. Those can look like low income houses.
Santa Clara is me recommendation for the town name, grew up in one
Hi 👋 I’m loving your city
Hello! Thank you! ☺
I wish my apartment would flash a symbol above it to say the rent is high in real life
🤣
City name Recommendation: Sugary Springs
Hi FC love your content... Just one thing...what's with the indeeds? There's lots! Keep up the good work
This city looks so pretty, but yeah, 10$ for a bus ticket is no way near acceptable for a small freit like that ahah
❤GREAT VIDS❤
Please more it very cool yes 👍🏻
Landscaping a deep hole in the coal zone would make it a little realistic.
Totally generic names but I keep thinking Hillcrest and Few County. Those could also be good road names along with Estuary Heights.
Name for the town: Valle Ridge (VAH-yay)
Name suggestion: Twonilla (Tewnilla?)
FewCastle, name of the city
So it's gotta be called ..."indeedieana"
I still think Few Jersey.
