- I'm leaving now to go deep into the Amazon jungle with my friend Paul Rosolie, deep to parts of the rainforest that very few humans have ever seen.
The purpose of this trip is to celebrate nature at its purest and most intense, and to celebrate the work of people like Paul who have dedicated their life to protecting the jungle and the endless diversity of life that calls it home.

I hope to get back in one piece, and have some stories to tell. I'll try to record a podcast with Paul deep in the jungle.
I'll be offline until I emerge out. Meanwhile, no internet, no phone, no connection to outside world. Just the raw, beautiful immensity of nature.

I hope he comes back explaining the link between what the developed world eats and rainforest deforestation.
We really don't need to go to the Amazon to help save it. We need to change the way we eat.
But tbh I've lost hope in humanity. People won't even stop eating chocolate grown with the help of child slaves. So, I've accepted that rainforest destruction will continue inevitably.
@@XCE55IVE I listened to both Julian didn’t make a fake promise to go . He said he doesn’t want to go will take Paul’s word for it. And Danny Jones didn’t say he would go to the Amazon either. He just said it would be cool. There were a couple other hosts who were riding the those “YES MEN” to suck up to Paul. I’m referring to the other podcasters who really don’t care about their content who were riding the wave that Julian, Danny, and Rogan started with Paul. Does that make more sense

Lex, I'm Brazilian and lived 6 years in Amazônia. It's not a safe place, I'd choose the "gringo" experience and take some bodyguards and trusted locals with you.

im a white american who has been to regular brazil city and suburbs. Regular brazil is not safe we all need body guards and hired locals in rio and belem and sao paulo amd amazonia etc.
Spent 40 days in Brazilian Sao Paolo suburbs (Taubate) with my ex-girlfriend who was brazilian. We were with her family and everyone was kind.
Yes you need 50 bodyguards each for regular brazil, maybe batman too

A lot of beggars and scammers but hard crime i didnt see one time. I love sugar bread mountain and copacobana beach! I love the jesus monument! I love the good women that made me so happy. I want to see more of brazil for sure!

No internet, no phone, no connection to the outside world - the best of ourselves. Ridding yourself of that addiction is a beautiful thing. Even more beautiful the place you are venturing in to. No connection to my normality was incredible. Just come home from 3 weeks in China, happy to see this! Trust the trip went well.

He's got a genuine moral compass and a love for our planet. I adore Lex's interviews. He does his research and lets his guests have space to answer or comment. If Lex will give you a platform to speak... he sees the importance in dialogue.
He sees the importance of a very large pay cheque.
It's crazy to me that people eat this guy up so much considering how bad he is at interviewing. His voice sounds tired and boring at all times, his questions never scratch more than the service level and he rarely if ever asks follow up questions showing that he doesn't really care about the conversations. I can't think of a worse interviewer who has interviewed people as big as Lex. He's basically a blank canvas for rich people to paint whatever picture they want people to see of them.
