DART Train Action at Mockingbird Station - Orange, Red and Blue Lines

- In this video, we take a look at the beautiful Mockingbird Station. Underground, but with an open top, this station lies just outside the tunnel beyond Cityplace/Uptown Station. This station is also the last before the Blue line splits from the Red and Orange lines.

Lovers lane is one my favorite stations
I was here in 2006, and that was the first time I noticed the DART LRVs had their car numbers overhead.
Mockingbird/SMU is one of my favorite stations, my 1st is Union Station
There's the best of 5 worlds going on there so how could I blame you! Mockingbird and Cityplace take top spot for my favorite because of how they're decorated. Mockingbird is #1 for me because of how refreshing the nature there is, but Cityplace is close behind.

Those whistles on the Dart light rail trains sounds a bit like a Sandcast K3LA
There aren't any published specifications on the horn, and I'm definitely not a horn expert, so I have no clue! It's cool you can identify which is which though. Thanks for watching!

Short answer: Yes. A local pass is valid for both bus and rail. The passes are valid based on times now though. AM, PM and Midday passes as well as a full day pass. Regional ones get you outside of Dallas into Denton and downtown Fort Worth. The DART website has even more details.

@@NTxRE From what I have been told, it is only serviced during rush hour. I don't know yet if it changed to regular service because it arrived a few months ago. Anyways, be on the lookout for DART SLRVs number 135 and 222. They both have digital LED signs, unlike the roll signs that always get stuck.
I believe I've seen one in passing. I know I've seen pictures. Bittersweet feelings! The new ones look great but I'll miss the old ones too.
@@NTxRE Yeah. When all the LRVs have them, I sure will start to miss the roll signs. But hey, at least the LED signs won't get stuck as often.
Also, have you heard about the train vs. trailer crash in Irving on the TRE line? TRWX 122 hit the back of a box trailer under a bridge and likely got minor damage. Whenever you railfan TRE again, look out for 122. I want footage of it after the crash and it would be nice if you could record it if you see it and tell me.
