We got a hot tip from a local who invited us to go magnet fishing at this spot in Amsterdam. We found so much and at the end got a nice payout for our finds. Hope you enjoy this adventure!

@@mikenco I'm pretty sure it's healthier for the water and the creatures within it not to live on massive oil-filled metal objects :D So whilst a few may suffer now, I'm sure it benefits them in the long run.

It was well worth going to the scrap metal dealers for all that hard work. I am amazed at the strength of those magnets, especially the steel work stuck a few feet in the mud.
The museum looks like a great visit, and very fitting that an old ship yard tool was the first find.
A well-deserved meal with great friends.....nothing could be better to round off the day, after another great adventure.
No magnets were lost or harmed in the making of this video......but an old crusty one was saved.

Hey, I sometimes work over there in Noord! Good finds. Man, I should get a magnet just for the scrapping. Good money!
Second item out was a bottle screw used for many things on ships but also on land . Used for chaining down heavy tings on trailers
Well, that was quite the feat, good thing you had spectators ready to jump in and lend a hand to you wouldn't be having all-you-can-eat sushi tonight !!! Maybe MacDonalds but not sushi !!! Here in the US, all the magnet fishers take their hauls to the scrap yard to make extra cash money. Some film the load being dropped off so we can all see what the total was. Always an adventure no matter what side of the world you magnet fish on !!! Thanks for sharing it with us 🤟
I think you’re right! We couldn’t have done it without their help and it was definitely the heaviest bit! 😂 we’ve never brought anything to the scrap yard before but I think well do it more often 😂
