Making this video has taught me a lot. It took me around 10 hours to edit this and hopefully it does well and you all like it. But most importantly I've realized I cant say the word "Scattered" lol
@@burningtank160 thanks! Saw your comment from before (don't know if you removed it or CZcams did on accident). But going along with the bodies not being there, I think it would be a lot darker if something was actually taking the dead bodies instead
I remember this weird bug that used to affect the land vehicles, where the buggy or rover would randomly begin floating into the sky with no gravity. Me and my friend though it was hilarious since we were finding bugs in a small little game we purchased before 1.0 version even dropped
I have this theory: game’s solar system is an artificial mega structure where each world (and even the sun itself) was made by the aliens whom control each planet cores and the unknown satellite near the sun, like a puzzle for intelligent visitors to proof they can (or not) enter into alien’s dimension if manage to understand the dynamics, rules and philosophical message deep placed into the game.
I have actually came to the same conclusion on my own, with gravity always being so high and everything. Maybe it really is the canon their working up to
@@demariultraastra864 if you look into the game some of the gateways are actually halfway underground so maybe they floated little bit aways from the core
I'm surprised you didn't mention the wrecks. Lots of them are reminiscent of our own bases, while some others feature uncraftable platforms and items, like the launch tower, and the horns!
About the wanderer: as far as I remember, there is a camera on the control panel in the sun room, and EVA tells us that this is Bert's camera (I don't remember his name exactly, but it seems so), who is known to us as the wanderer. About clones: When you die in hardcore mode, you are shown a screen that says: REPRINT is not available. Most likely, they are just biorobots.
My headcanon is that the Astroneers aren't clones, but semi-sapient androids, and the "oxygen" in the tethers is actually alternating current electricity. The wide yellow power cables supply direct current, which is why they're shorter, and why extenders are a thing; AC power doesn't so much have that limitation. You aren't laying down air tubes when you drop tethers, you're laying down your own extension cord. That's why your Astroneer never requires food or water, despite Organic being a resource and the Galastropods eating plant seeds given them. But the Astroneer thinks that it's air, because they are programmed to think they are alive in order to mimic the creativity of a living being and thus be a better scout / investigator. Hence semi-sapient. That's why at the end of the game the Astroneer looks at its own PDA in a moment of thought and drops it to the floor to enter the rift: that's the moment the little robot finally achieved full sentience and set its own goal rather than accomplishing the goals it had been told to achieve beforehand. There is a real live human in the game, onboard the satellite / mothership, thus explaining the half-eaten burrito. Perhaps the implication is that you are the human on the satellite, chilling in a climate controlled environment with a snack, nonchalantly grabbing a drink while a new android to play around with after the last one got zipped away like you have every other time your Astroneer died.
I like this theory. The real human is onboard the ship, controlling the astroneer like a drone/robot. Collecting resources and building a base in preparation for humans to come down. In which case, the o2 tethers are very real as the humans will need them when they arrive later on. There's alot to process in this theory.. but it's a good one.
Great video! Was surprised to see content about this game in my first youtube page. And I also wonder to this day, WHY CANT WE HAVE LADDERS and deco stuff like walls and doors. But I must admit having to slowly, very slowly find a way to get to a planets' core without falling in a pit is really entertaining.
Another thing in the Alpha was the solar system orbit and if a planet you wanted to go to wasn’t within the orbit, you had to float in space until it came back into orbit
I am probably not the first person to say this, but I remember in early access you could find these rare, weird skeletons in caves. They were somewhat large and whale-like. They were only the rib cage though if I remember correctly.
false ground happened to my large rover. It got stuck in the ground , it took me 2 hours to get it out. I spent the first hour trying to drive and dig it out , however i ended up spending the next time to find graphite to make packagers.
I miss the storms! They were an interested situation lol. They should have kept them but reduced their frequency dramatically. Random storms pop up in real life.. why not on sylva? Lol
Alrighty, thanks for the suggestion! The reason I didn't on this video is because I couldn't find some music that wasn't wack lol. But I'll find some! :)
Ok so a new update happened idk how much time after this vid It's the "Curious Item" Which has like 67 entries or so Aldo u can find only 1 in your game(as far as I know) If all the entries are put together it reveals the story of another ship the ESS Elysium which was on its way to recover the wreckage of the ESS TRITON so it starts gud Everybody alive and relatively happy Dr Stone doing random sience s#!t Until they get to TRITONS Wreckage and recover the LRDs The whole crew can't sleep They hear them whispering DR Stone starts going insane and someone all of the sudden almost dies. People start seeing other Astroneers when they should be alone Get teleported to random Planets It's a mess Then the Elysium get depressurized bc of an attack and...OFFLINE The story behind the "Curious item" It's quite interesting since it explains the debris broken ships on the Planets The LRDs...kinda And what happend after the fall of TRITON Also how did the LRDS get to the Mushroom biome on Sylva(It's where I found the first one) It doesn't make any sense It has no acces either to the surface to come trough the caves or acces to the Planets Core I think imma stop here but I think Astroneer is going to become like Fortnite:From a simple game with just some random scattered lore to a game with a full and mysterious lore Ok Cya
The satellite pilot is your character, the one lonely astroneer (in case of single player), or at least, was. Because the satellite dont need a pilot to keep it in orbit. Edit: There could be a probe core controlling it in case it needs to go anywhere without a pilot.
Wouldn't it be awesome if, when you complete the game, you would be teleported to the prelaunch solar system with all the earily planets/moons. I would pay for that again lololoolol Thx for sharing
"Probes were added in the wanderer update" Noob. They were always there, the mechanics just weren't working or didn't exist, and pretty much all of them could be found on all planets
What false ground it's best to make sure all idea are clicked down n vehicles need to clicked to the base this reduces it, but doesn't always do it unless your away from that planet a long time
Not really, I suspected it was just to make it seem creepy however I'm going to make a video on marbles and I'll find out for us if they do whisper. Thanks for watching! :)
i do feel like that the early System that was in the game was changed mainly because (*Spoilers*) the entire game takes place inside of a Simulation, and the Sun has the a Control Room for the Simulation to be controlled. this likely means that everything the player's had done never actually happened and is only happening inside of the Simulation that is the Sylva System. and also means that the Original System got a large remodel into something more different.
Yeah I agree. I might do another part of this soon if they add more content and I will definitely add the simulation to it. Thank you for watching the video. :)
The marbles were originally used for testing game physics. But they stayed in the game. They only recently added the info graph to them for fun. I'm 1000% certain it's not gonna have anything to do with future or past missions/lore. They just wanted to give us something fun with it.

Also all the planets are the same size as the sun (except novus and desolo)

If all the entries are put together it reveals the story of another ship the ESS Elysium which was on its way to recover the wreckage of the ESS TRITON
so it starts gud
