- Italian painter Malù Dalla Piccola lives in Paris and has used both cultures to cultivate her hybrid aesthetic, seen both in her fashion style and in the decoration of her dreamy Parisian apartment with its furniture from both Italy and France. Vogue Paris visited her in her home and studio where she creates her surrealist Plexiglas artworks.

Everything screams old money and casual wealth without her ever actually showing anything off. “Ah yes my grandma commissioned this dress when she went to Buckingham palace” like that’s an everyday thing? Wow.
@ Dahlia Zuo Because you do not own an Yves Saint Laurent dress that belonged to your grandmother ?!?!?! ... that you had adjusted of course ... because you are thiner than her...
Exactly! It's like, oh this old rag? I am just doing dishes with it! 😂
Oh, do you mean your pillowcases aren't made with old silk Hermès and Gucci scarves? Eww, what are you? a plebeian?
she is obviously showing off
n /a And you obviously are jealous.
Honestly, I am tired of watching glamorized videos about people whose priviledge outweigh their accomplishments. There is nothing wrong with people having money and the lady in the video seems like an accomplished painter. The problem is how the video depicts this as her having exceptional taste. If I have so many pretty things that I can afford to stich an Hermes scarf on a pillow, and my grandmother sends me family furniture passed down through generations from her mansion in Italy, and Yves st Laurent used to design dresses for my grand mother who used to be an It Girl, I do not think I can afford to be non-stylish and nor being stylish is an accomplishment, but a consequence. This video is so unfashionable in spirit...
I don't know why mais j'adore this comment.
"Unfashionable in spirit"...
This is Vogue there brand is upper class and rich your not going to find that here
Agree! Nice eye candy but so what… rich girl can afford … I like her paintings . She seems like very privileged. She is talented but also born with a golden spoon in herbmouth. I like homestories where people make a lot of thrift store finds and do upcycling. Sure Vogue is an exclusive mag but I think there are other homestories which a have a background not as filthy rich with a grandma living in an historic palazzo.
To be honest, the living room furniture looks like it was passed down from her grandmother...such a weird 80's Florida vibe with drab yucky pastel colors. The dried floral arrangements and the palm in that tacky golden pot...I really do not like anything in her apartment.
BURCU ERGUN, like you, I am JEALOUS.
My grandmother’s palace featured replicas of Bob Ross paintings.
I feel like some grandmas are more popular than others bc same my grandma has like jesus and crappy nature paintings
Hahaha
Hahahaha thank you!
Vogue is mindfucking us at this point with these cloned rich artsy girls 😄 but I really appreciate the aesthetics every time. It really inspired me and gave me a lot of creative ideas. It's like a fairytale and I believe that's the point of this series.
Cloned rich artsy girls omfg that's exactly what I was thinking.
haha so well said. love the aesthetics, but how is this so soulless?
the REAL story here is how she is financing this
Yeah, she's just chilling on her couch, catching up on Ulysses in her Converse.
It's clear from her stories of grandma and her extensive travel, beginning as a teen, that she's supported by an incredibly wealthy family. She's very lucky. Unfortunately, I've always felt this chasm of indifference towards homes that are paid for by family wealth as opposed to the curation of items carefully chosen and paid for by a person's own work.
Agreed! Anyone could have a beautiful apartment with that amount of wealth in the family
Totally agree. I think it's more thrilling to hear about incredible thrift finds and someone actually curating their style from scratch. Like for example, I would like to see her grandma's place instead since she is obviously the original taste maker in the family. 😆
MAE , like you, I am JEALOUS.
@@ami443 i don't know if she has support from her family or not but everyone that I have ever known who did, either became a drunk or crazy or both.
My favourite part is the old Hermes & Gucci neckerchief being upcycled into cushion covers XD but I still love her style, and her commitment to curating her space according to her own tastes. You can't underestimate how easy it is, especially if you're rich, to just buy new everything or let a designer decide everything for you!
My entire Paris apartment when I was a student would have fit in her kitchen. My then boyfriend's apartment was slightly bigger than his bed. It would be nice to see how people in tiny studio Parisian apartments style them and make them cozy, stylish and functional.
there are vlogs about that, but theyre mostly girls related to fashion too. Never saw a male vlog - i think theyre all talking about video games.
I wanna see her grandma too, I can see she has a uniqe style
if anyone knows what religion i have to join to ensure that i reincarnate as a skinny french heiress who can just do art in gorgeous apartments around europe for the rest of my life please hit me up
SAME HERE.
Wow you nailed it to perfection. Put me on that list too...
Low key best comment on the internet.
:')
whichever which has reincarnation as an idea lol
Her apartment is just like a painting, AESTHETIC!
Her home is beautiful but I’d really prefer to see a focus on less privileged people. I would LOVE to see tours of working class homes!! It sure is easy to have a beautiful apartment when your family’s rich AF
It is easier if you have style and furnish your home to your taste.
I am working class and I don't want to see homes like mine, that's just depressing. I want to see beautiful homes in videos like this. I watch videos like this for escapism not reality, that's the whole point.
@@THALOOTI i do agree that it's easier if you have style, but money is a seriously limiting factor. I'd love to see what creative ideas other working class folk come up with when faced with this problem (e.g. thrifting, upcycling, crafting. . .)
Edit: typo
@@balthasardenner5216 being working class doesn't mean your house has to be depressing, that's just you lmao. My house is working class and still cute, cozy and enjoyable and that's on having style, managing a budget and a personality
@@sanpellegrinolimonata yass I've seen some house/apartment tours from small youtubers and when they tell you how they came up with certain ideas or how they discovered some of their furniture in second hand stores and then transformed them into something new, that's the creativity I like to see
A quoi bon rager ?
I'm outraged that my flat doesn't have a 'petit salon vert'. Where is the justice?
My « atelier » is basically my entire house so I feel you girl.
MONET! Not on the gucci pillows!
underrated comment hihi

This really made me laugh out loud lol
😂😂😂😂
ahah, does anyone know the dog’s breed?
This by far the best one yet. Every part of her home is beautiful and enchanting .I like how there a lot of stuff but yet it doesn’t feel clutter it all goes together .
to me it looks cluttered (with beautiful objects of course, but still clutter)
The furniture is a mix of materials, but they have roughly the same color tones.
I agree. Best pad so far.
Not only is this house goals, I love the outfit change for each room. I'm now expecting this from every house tour bc it just makes sense.
Some people frame their Hermes / Gucci scarves to preserve them. She turns them into pillow cases 😅 They look reaaaally pretty though 🌾✨
This video just called me poor
Soundtrack: “I got it from my grandma”
She is so inspiring!!! So much grace and elegance for a 25 year old
Wow, I love how creative she is using the Hermes and Gucci scarves to make pillows and I love her paintings of the nude and beautiful girls
Who the heck is her grandma
Legit does someone know ???
I guess a popular designer
RIGHT lmao
Yeah I want to know!!
basically nothing on google!
This space is absolutely dreamy and so creative! And she looks divine in this green Jacquemus dress 🌿
I love that this video is longer and more conversational. Thank you for making longer videos!!!
Living in Russia for that long for sure had an impact on her style. Politics aside, they still know what a timeless classic culture is and live it daily. Her family having "old" money and using it for education of their kids and encouragment to develop and grow as human beings is an amazing thing to see actually.
We have to remember- Hermes scarf, as expensive as it may be, its still just a pretty scarf. Its not about having things, its about what you do with them.
Just Me You are someone who understands this and you are correct. After reading so many comments I am aghast at the jealousy, unsophistication and plain stupidity of what I read. What a pity.
Eat the rich 🙃
Jane Doe You just proved my point!
Can you give us an example of Russia knowing what a timeless classic culture is?? I thought it had died down in Russia with the October revolution. This is a serious question.
Billie Ford Exactly. Guillotine them 😈.
She appreciates what she has- in a throw away Society. Those old dresses are still beautiful.
Wow a French influencer without the Jane Berkin hair. Miracle
She ain't French
@@marazampariolo3200 Jane birkin is not french too.
@@neofils of course not, she has a thick English accent. It is true though that a ton of French girls have the same style and hair, and living in Paris for the past 15 years I was astonished at the lack of creativity in this 'capital of fashion'. It seems like having long, natural color, wavy hair is the only look...
@@marazampariolo3200 . You are right , people are not fashionable ( fashion victim) in Paris but stylish.
@@neofils this is not what I am saying at all. You can definitely be classy and stylish without being a total conformist. All he French girls I see have the same long hair. Is having short hair being not classy or 'tremdy'? It is not. Unfortunately being original, or even slightly different in anything is seen in a bad light IN French society, they have confused the égalité with egalitarism, and a bunch of nonsense on jealousy, modesty, confidence and soon plagues the French with the fundamental incapacity to accept anything that threatens the old status quo.
Shes so creative and I love the aesthetic of her apartment , so comfy with the pale colors and I love that shes upcycled her mom and grandmom's things into nowadays style
her, her apartment and her works are STUNNING!!

I think she is lovely, her clothes are beautiful, her apartment is fabolous, she was such a delight, with or without money, she has an impeccable taste.
Well..... it does help to have money if you want to buy stuff, or has something changed overnight ?
She's pretty interesting. And her house reflects her personality. Her work is amazing too!!!
Edit: I also liked how she wore a different outfit for every room.
I love her style. She wears some nice colors. And her apartment is magnifique. :)
Real money is old money! Amazing, good for her. Really wealthy people are so strategic, they built generational wealth, no divorce to keep the asset in the family and always making move thinking about the future. Only thing we can do as middle class/poor people is building the foundation for us and those coming after us. stone by stone.
oh WOW this apartment is STUNNING 💜💜💜
Can you please do a video on Purple Palace and her home?
She's also an artist in Paris, she moved there from the USA and she's such a kind and bright soul. She also doesn't have this posh aura around her which I think would be a very nice thing to see on Vogue Paris. People that aren't privileged and rich exist, and they live their lives so differently from these people in Vogue's normal videos. I hope you'll take this into consideration!
TO all the people who say that Vogue shows only posh, rich, priviliged girls; so what? It is just a proper place to show this kind of places, people and their lifestyle. It is a fairytale in a way, it can be soothing and pleasant just to look at them, while sipping a morning coffee. If you are hurt by this view, just do not wath and keep on scrolling - these videos are NOT obligatory to watch, there is plenty of other points of view and lifestyles to be found ON THE INTERNET. Bye bye.
Dreamy. I loved everything about this and her grandmother must be over the top proud of her lovely granddaughter.
Why do people hate?Let her do her.She is obviously a very talented human being I mean her paintings are really beautiful. She really seems natural not forced.People live like this.I like watching these videos idk it’s very aesthetically inspiring.
This just might be my favorite Paris apt tour. So many beautiful things at every turn. I love that gold planter! 😍😍😍😍
I haven't even started scrolling down and I can already smell the hate comments. Edit: But seriously, what do you want, having a look to some random person's random looking apartment? I can show you mine: a couch that I bought in an IKEA like store, one of those metalic Eiffel Towers I bought in Paris, my plastic dishes... normal stuff? We already know that, most of us live it everyday, so why see it again here? What is that going to inspire us for? On the other hand, with videos like days (note it does say "dream" in the title) we can have ideas to make our homes better, style ideas, etc. Maybe I don't have that huge fan she has there in the kitche and that she bought, who knows, from Marie Antoinette herself, but I have another fan that is cheap but thatcan look pretty hanging on the wall and I can get the idea from this. Seriously, insecure people are the ones who are bothered by other people's wealth and success.
This is the first video i've seen where the apartment is actually shown and for that alone I am grateful
Waouh waouh waouh. Love this format "une fille, un style" so interesting! Malu's art is unique! Can't wait to see more of her work and talent...💎
I recognize that Vogue is an institution that exists to highlight and display fabulous cosmopolitan lifestyles, but the hegemonic content is a bit tired. I’m not a French woman, but their lifestyles are constantly fetishized in a way that feels disingenuous. Being that Paris is so diverse, with creative and successful people of their own merit, why do we zero in on the same type of privileged, able bodied, white femme? I won’t downplay their own successes, it’s not fair to tear people down, but why not uplift a different section of the population? I can’t imagine what a similar representation of American women would do to my psyche, and self esteem. I could be off base, things get lost in translation, but I’ve noticed a pattern.
You’re reading way to much into it.
i completely agree with this statement. to a T.
Completely agree with you.
I agree 100+++ and no shade to her but I don't like her paintings.
