- Inside a Creative Couple's Art-Filled Parisian Home
Alice and Antoine (Maison Saman founders), a creative couple, a family of 4, who lived in Vietnam, share the story of their journey from discovering Japanese techniques in Vietnam to transforming an old family house next to Paris into both a living space and a hub for creativity and art. Six years ago, while working in IT and communication in Saigon and awaiting the birth of their child, they decided to start their own brand inspired by the Shou Sugi Ban technique. Upon returning to France, they renovated the old family house to blend vintage with modern designs, making it a space for work, client meetings, and art exhibitions. Discover how they have combined and curated their space and incorporated colour and art. They share their love for food, design, and art, texture and color, and highlight the importance of supporting other artists and curators, such as Christophe Charbonnel.

The woman has a beautiful spirit and peaceful energy about her. Great, calming home too!
Their taste and aesthetic is very close to my own, meaning the colours the space, materials, mix of vintage and classic modern, yes very lovely
Glad you found it relevant and hope you could draw some inspiration 🙌
The amount of disposable income and financial resources in the world amazes me.
Hahaha. I was sitting there going. Ok the peon is watching the queen and all her luxuries.
Yeah this isn’t obtainable for 99.9% of humans
For some anyway…
Although I will never own an old French family home with incredible architecture, what a wonderful inspiration. The mix of color and texture, the balance of modern and traditional is tastefully done.
A lot of people work hard for it.
It’s a home. Attainable. Half of those things you can find used lol
Love this.Beatiful home with personality
Definitely

I love how peaceful they are!❤😊
This is so true🤍
They will argue like every other couple rich or poor human nature has no boundaries
The beauty and qualities of the home simply reflected the qualities Alice expressed: beauty, graciousness, humility, etc. The home is beautiful, Alice's qualities--palpable and outstanding.
Loved this video! Such a gorgeous home, and really loved the overall aesthetic! ❤
Un goût classique et élégant. Chaque pièce crie intemporel. J'adore, Merci.
🙌🙌
She is quite lovely - inside and out.
This is so beautiful!
The paint colour of those walls is SENSATIONAL. Whatever colour you put in front of it, by way of decorative objects, art, flowers, what have you, just POPS. It goes with everything. I wish more people would cotton on to this colour. Much trial and experimentation to get it exactly right as every house has different walls and different ways of taking in daylight. Wonderful to see this colour in a home tour like this, I really enjoyed it all.
what a beautiful garden, imagine having that as your backyard! like the personality of the house, beautiful. i especially liked the vintage grandfather clock.

Our pleasure! Glad you like it!
Good morning ❤it’s better chanel and very interesting for me! Thank you so much!
Love her shoes ❤
So beautiful ❤!
fabulous!!
In the living room, I would ditch the piano to create more space on that side to have another, matching green sofa on the other side, to create a strong symmetry. I'd then add some kind of strong seating with mass opposite the fireplace to complete the square, and provide another horizontal form to balance the length of the sofas on each side.
Yes, we enjoyed the home tour.
Beautiful (everything!)
Incredible 🎉
Lovely, merci.

Absolutely adore this style. Beauty in details.
Does anyone know the brand of her blouse and shoes, by the way? Very nice.
lovely lady
❤❤❤
💖💖💖
I love it, when can I move in? ❤
She has such a delightful taste! Her accent is very thick, in a moment I believed she was hispanic like me.
I believe she is French.
It takes hard work and much sacrifice to achieve that kind of financial security. So farin America if you have an idea or a talent you can launch a business with grant or loan. My friend started a hardwood floor restoration business because he learned about wood and its care and character. So he moved from New York as a sessions drummer to California with a dream to have a successful business. He lived in his van for 7 years and joined a gym to be able to shower every day. He did succeed after much sacrifice and he is now one of premiere hardwood floor restorers in the California. So effort and determiniation with a good talent or idea will yield much.
@Parisianvibe What a lovely home. I really enjoyed this. Could you please share the name of the Artist Oba that she mentioned in the art segment? Thank you.
Ofcouse! Check Alexandre Monteiro (Hopare)
@@ParisianVibe Thank you! ;)
We were inspired by Vietnam. So we decided to go Japanese.
Hi ❤
The home is beautiful, but I was immediately drawn out of it everytime she called Ho Chi Minh City Saigon. Her and her husband lived in Vietnam but seemed not to have been influenced by the culture or really their time there. They mainly speak about the Japanese influence.
A lot of Vietnamese still call it Saigon. They discovered Japanese techniques while living in Vietnam - Japanese traditional artisans and craftsmen are famous for their skills and their influence is far-reaching.
what is the name of the artist? the portrait in the ART section of the video? thanks in advance!
I love the dining chairs. However, the artwork is hung too high. Artwork should be hung at 57 inches on center, meaning the center of the artwork should be 57 inches from the ground. This height is standard for most art galleries and provides the most comfortable viewing experience for people.
Depends on the height of the people who are going to be looking at it. Basically, the centre should be at your face/eye level - may be they are taller than average.
Regarding the fireplace wall in the dining room at 1:47.......
The scale, mass, balance, and positioning of the bust and the lights on the walls is not working effectively.
I get the idea behind placing the square picture above the bust --- they are trying to create a horizontal line with the two lights and the picture, and to create a pattern and a rhythm with the three squares in a line.
HOWEVER, there are two problems with how they have approached this. First, the positioning of the bust on the mantle implies they want the bust to be a focal point, and having something above the bust distracts from the bust as a focal point on that portion of the wall. It's even more distracting because that distracting picture above the bust is part of a line, and a line is a strong visual that draws the eye away from the bust and toward the eye. Also, the three consecutive squares creates the form of a large rectangle, and that large form makes the bust look dwarfed and small, which further diminishes its power as a focal point.
Another problem with this design is the wall area beneath the light fixtures on the left and right walls looks empty and bare.
INSTEAD, I would remove the square picture from above the bust and leave the bust as the focal point on that wall. I would then put a square picture on each side of the bust, but lined up vertically with the light fixtures. This will fill in the empty space beneath the lights. But it also would simultaneously create that horizontal line lower down on the wall, in line with the bust. So the eye would be drawn to the horizontal line of the bust and the pictures on each side of it, and the bust would therefore be a focal point within that line or rectangular form. This would also create vertical lines on each side wall, balancing the horizontal and vertical. It would be far more integrated on multiple dimensions, and assist in serving the goal of making the bust the focal point for the entire wall area.
Reading in the bathroom?
Get a king bed at least, you can afford it:)
For me, the furniture is too modern looking for the house...
She doesn't look French... she looks Indian!
Not sure how you managed to do this DNA assessment and how it’s relevant
Maybe her great grandmother was Indian
Do you have an idea what a typical "French" look is? 🙄
Boring boring boring
Jalouse
Unattractive home .
She is so lovely and what a beautiful home!!
