In the African grasslands, a gazelle suffering from tuberculosis takes its last breath. The animal’s corpse threatens to infect the water, but for the vulture, this isn’t a problem: it’s a feast. With a stomach of steel that can digest diseased meat and waste, vultures are essential to removing dangerous pathogens from ecosystems. Kenny Coogan explores the importance of the desert’s cleanup crew.

Misjudged creatures,they get a bad name..
Stop calling bankers and CEOs vultures. Vultures are actually doing a service for their ecosystem.
As a paraglider pilot I have flown with vultures and was surprised to learn how smart and playful they are. They are very curious and frequently fly along paragliders and hang gliders. They are our best friends in the sky and I have developed a tremendous respect for these birds.
Fact: A group of vultures is called a venue, and when circling the air, a group of vultures is called a kettle.
I hope vultures carrion saving the world for years to come.

Unsung heroes
I am from a village in India. My Grandmother used to tell me about vultures in our village. She told me that whenever there was any death of any Domesticated animal in the village they used to cover the whole sky, but these days there are none left, I have never seen one in my life sadly. I wish our Gov too ban the drugs harming these and provide some alternative.
My patronus is a vulture, and I was kind of embarrassed about it. However, this video changes that. Vultures are pretty cool!
