The rise and fall of the Maya Empire’s most powerful city - Geoffrey E. Braswell
Trace the rise and fall of the Maya city Chichen Itza, and how Yucatán’s unpredictable environment contributed to its demise.
--
During the 8th century CE, warfare and failing agriculture forced Maya people to move north, to hotter, drier Yucatán. Because of its freshwater access, Chichen Itza became the most powerful Maya city, with nearly 50,000 citizens at its height. But the region presented its own challenges and the city's golden age wouldn’t last forever. Geoffrey E. Braswell traces the city's rise and fall.

My first thought is- Is the population decreasing or increasing because it seems no one can make-up their minds. Further, the issue is consumption and how much humans consume. Most of the time food isn't eaten to quench hunger it's used as a business like eating shows etc. Do you really need all that meat on your Texas bbq plate. We have big eyes and stretch our bellies due to our obsessions with more. Raise food only what is needed, the issue is balance. Humans don't understand balance!

What an awesome anti-Catholic video completely lacking historical context. Mission accomplished. How come you don’t mention the numbers of Catholics killed in Protestant England, or the Peasant revolt, or the French Revolution? I commend you on your production value but this is as anachronistic as it gets. History without context is just a story and not a very good one at that.

I've always told my kids that the use by date is the SHORTEST time a company wants to guarantee their food will last for. It allows for refrigerated products being in a cart while shopping and the trip home, maybe a fridge temp set to 4 or 5 C, and maybe not being handled correctly etc. With other products, periods of high temperatures, wildly fluctuating temperatures, and other less than ideal storage conditions. If you get the refrigerated products last while shopping, and put the cold items together in bags and into a cooler for the trip home, put them away immediately, don't leave them to warm up on the bench when using them, and have a fridge set to 1 C, they'll last a lot longer. The use by date is the basically the soonest you could make them go off, not how long they can possibly last.

We are clearly in a simulation. And the best evidence for that is that every time we try to explain the origin of the universe, of matter (we seem to have stopped at the Big Bang), it will always be just an origin advanced from another origin since nothing could have happened from nothing. It's like trying to multiply any number by zero, to understand how it could be anything other than one. So we are in an impossible world. That's the... the lack of credibility of this simulation. Think about it, this so-called reality doesn't hold up.

This honestly doesnt make any sense at all to me. The graph does not make sense to me because it assumes observing light that does not exist yet. How does one account for this? Example: When the one person moves away, it can only observe light from that time and before~ not a future time. So when we see "far away things" we arent bending time but seeing occurred things at a past time... There is no way to see future time only past. Teleport 20 light years away for 5 minutes and then back instantly, the person will be observed at a much later date being there but their age does not change considering the universal time constant has not elapsed at a more rapid rate. We just cannot see the person until their light molecules reach us. When they come back next ot us, we will still be able to see them somewhere else but they do not exist elsewhere (like how we watch people in a video but they do not exist there in the sense that they cannot react to us nor can we interact with them since they're just light...)
