Great tips! Thanks so much. Another tip to avoid boredom in a composition: morph the timbre, volume or other characteristics of sustained notes or chords over time using MIDI controls or other methods. Maybe you have already made a video about how to do this, or you plan to do so in the future.

Thanks for presenting this in a structured way - techniques which a lot of us use instinctively but it’s useful when itemised like this.
