- We get back out to the lake up a Billy's and do some more testing with my sled "YOMAMA" and Billy's sled. we had a blast out on the lake and got alot of passes in and some really good results! still fighting some traction issues with poor ice quality but super pumped to see the speeds outta both sleds and I can finally say that "YOMAMA" spanked Billy! it was a fun day and Derrins new sidewinder works pretty good and Kristina did great on her first radar run too! hope you enjoy the video 🍻

Thanks for the video, this brings back sooo many memories. We were neck deep in that stuff back in the 90's. We had a couple of triple Wildcat 1050's in Indy chassis that would run 127 on a good day. Lots of fun and lots of wrenching. Love the snow bunny too. Good for you!

We had a lxr 9000 with D&D hot flash , they warned us it was living on the edge 😂 on the lake it would fold the windshield over and touch your hands @124mph . I thought that was fast .😂 you boys are nuts. Love you're doing it with FULL BODIED SLEDS

My 700 ZR was clocked at 117 mph. And my dad’s was 123 mph. He was unstudded. And geared up a bit. That looks fun 🤩
Just make sure your not running over your power band.
How about the belt? Is it to the top of the torque converter? Makes a big difference.
Actually the belt needs to be over the torque converter. About a quarter of a inch.

Cool video. I'm in Florida the weather is hot damp and humid and engines don't like it. Those sleds gotta be running at peak sweet spot up there in Canada. You guys have that cold dry air up there engines love that. My work truck runs like s*** on a hot humid day so I'm sure those engines are in their element

Nice One Pete! Question what kind of HP are those sleds running? Are they Stock internals? How will they hold up over time? Also I have a stock 2023 Sidewinder LTX GT and I saw 108 MPH on the Trail, how accurate is the Speedometer?
the tunes we are running are targeted at 330 horsepower and with some other tweaks possibly as high as 350. the motor in YOMAMA is totally stock and so is the turbo. Billy's motor has stock rods and pistons but it has upgraded cams, springs, and head studs, but also runs a stock turbo. the motors are very reliable and can handle the power but we are pushing the limits for sure! as for the speedo being accurate I'd say they are close but not 100 percent accurate lol. it all depends on traction really but we just radar ran a brand new srx and it did 109-113 in the quarter mile and 118 in a long pull. it will be in the next video! cheers 🍻

thanks! they are both running the turbo dynamics 330 horsepower race tune and those belts have multiple passes on them so far. cheers 🍻
There's an f-1000 for sale here in 'Cuse for $2000. What are the gremlins to look for?
check the usual stuff like the condition of the clutches...make sure the primary clutch isn't cracked! check the belt cause a new one is a couple hundred bucks!! check compression on the motor and just have a good look over it all $2000 is a fair and good price but unexpected repairs can cost a bunch!! condition of the track is important too...they are like $1000 to replace! hope that helps! 🍻 and test ride it if ya can!

There were a lot of sleds in the 70s that could do 70 plus.
1979 El Tigre 5000 FA was a solid 80 to 85 mph sled and that wasn’t even the top of the market. My brother had one.
