while Romora was @ the mercy of Parsec & the ratio limit, its just dependent on the kind of night & the varying levels of MU performance so i’d still agree Zero could stand to be bumped up a point or ultimately not; the Arthur + Hsien-ko looked fine
Morrigans are non-existent in these ratios usually since nobody wants to bother to troubleshoot a lesser assist kit for her. If there were decent fits, Eccentric wouldn’t bother w/ his SF team in these
They effectively are if you try to team them with the assists/characters that make them really effective. Can't team Morrigan/Doom - 12 points, Zero/Vergil isn't even possible.

What does ratio mean?
@@oxtailsoup6493typically it’s a relationship between something in numbers. Not the best way I could’ve worded it, but an example is every foot is 12 inches.
In this case, ratio in this format is using x amount of points to form a team. Each character has their own valve, and in total the team must be 10 or below. It’s just another fun format to watch Marvel due to teams now being more abstract than high level play.

I remember back in the day Chris Matrix had a tourney format where they would manually burn both player’s x factor at the start of the match reset both players to a neutral position and then play out the match with no x factor for either player. I know it’s not the same but this kind of reminds me of that.
Its amazing people are still playing UMVC3 in 2024! There wont be another MVC like it again either. It was so clearly a labour of love

6 points is extremely expensive. Few people actually play Zero and Morri at 6 and basically nobody touches Phoenix at 6.
Barely anyone will touch the top 3 in a ratio tournament, because those characters, as opposed to anchor Vergil, NEED specific team compositions to be as oppressive as they are. Good luck playing Jean without Morrigan or without a point with top notch movement who can stall for long enough. Similarly with Morrigan and Zero, without the good assists like Missiles or Jam Session they are much weaker.
I do think Morrigan and Zero are viable at 6 especially now that more characters cost 2 or 3 now that said they are pretty rare because when spending 6 points on a character you have to be damn confident in your ability to get the most out of them. Phoenix on the other hand was essentially soft-banned at 6 until Amaterasu came down to 3, though I think she can succeed now (though its still a bit of a struggle to make her work). This is also why I think Vergil could come down to 7, maybe even 6 though I definitely think a high-ish number of people would try their luck with him at 6.

When I use to play as wolverine and I know I was chip damage away from winning...I use to use the taunt where he sharpens his claws and use Swiss cheese as the finish.... every time I win with wesker I put my glasses back on by using the taunt... the game would be more fun with taunts me and my boys use to have a blast doing that back in 2017

MODOK is only ever played by Mothman, but is also considered extremely strong (if you have a specific uncommon controller). So he’s niche to begin with, but if someone filled that niche, he’d be very strong.
Strider is frequently seen, but his Vadra assist is great and he can help with stuff like stalling and mobility.

What is ratio?
You are given 10 points to make a team as each character costs different amount of points (1-6) with Vergil being banned. It’s meant to create more variety in teams and a good break from seeing typical high level meta play like morridoomverg, morrijean, zmc, etc.

C. Viper coating less than captain America, Deadpool, and task master is hilarious.
Seems its not just tier based but on player usage/popularity. C.Viper won't get played much even if you set her at 1 because she's not easy to use.
C Viper is generally stronger, but pretty hard to play compared to those others. Also this is Parsec, so there’s still some lag to play against.
