about a 7 or 8 - the N55 engine in these cars are among some of the more reliable bmw engines. However if you're buying one, get one made after 2014 - these are called the LCI models and have a number of updates over the earlier F10 5 series cars
@@5Juss0Blaze4 I think it comes down to your style. The 550i is a step down from the M5 but is still a thirsty and not as reliable as the 535i but it makes good power and is very smooth. If you can afford the upkeep I would say get the 550i

I have a question for everyone, which is better? The 550i or 535i?
550i is a V8; 535i is an inline 6. The 550i is a more refined and powerful but less reliable engine than the 535i
