I’m shooting a birthday party on Saturday & because I have the A7iii, I have heard that SLOG does not work well with my camera…..I’ve been thinking of using HLG3, but am wondering if you have any advice on how HLG footage may work with your LUT pack in particular? Or if you have a better picture profile in mind that you recommend the A7iii shoots in, to look great with your Luts? Isn’t the creative tab used for applying a look lut and the basic correction lut dropdown is used for applying a conversion lut followed by corrections and tweaks on top of it please advise.

This has very quickly become a “Sony through the lens of wedding filmmaking” channel. All of the last 10 videos, minus the livestreams, have all been Sony oriented.

I usually use two adjustment layers, one for the LUT and one for sharpness and contrast. Sometime I notice the order of the two adjustments layer affects the video export differently.
Matt, quick question bud. I shot in Slog 3 and then used Sony default rec 709 lut from their website for my slog 3 footage however my footage looks really dark. (I shot in the night. Now I found out that when filming slog 3, it has to be a stop over or something..? How do I do this and what stop over should it be? Sorry to be a pain.

Matt, so you only apply creative LUTs, and no Corrective LUTS in the Basic section, right?
Correct. It doesn’t really matter if you use the basic or creative section to add a lut. Premiere acts the same way :)
