Michael Jordan is regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time. At the 1984 Olympics, Jordan led team US in scoring, averaging 17 points a game. The USA went undefeated throughout the tournament, claiming the gold medal. Eight years later, he collects his second Olympic gold with the dream team in Barcelona, he was the second-highest scorer of the team, averaging 14.9 points a game. What' makes it even better, if the stories are true, is that Jordan barely or never slept during the 1992 Olympic campaign. According to teammates he pulled all-nighters drinking beer and playing cards, and it was still easy work for him come game time.

The last time we saw the high flying Jordan. During the 92-93 season he stopped dunking like this. Or he rarely did it much after the Olympics. Probably age and bad knees. He just dominated in a different way after.

@@shawnerr5786 I'm not sure why you're implying I didn't know that. The 92 playoff season was probably their toughest and most draining other than 98. I also think he didn't want to go in 92 because he knew it would be a cakewalk and he wanted a challenge. But he was happy to go in 84.

You can Debate that 1 player is better than another player...But the Bottom line is That Athletes like Michael Jordan and Roger Federer have such a TOWERING legacy in their Sport that is Unattainable by another player...And Both will always be considered the GOAT of their Sport regardless of if you feel another player was "Better"....Kobe/Lebron/Djokovic/Nadal will never be able to reach the ICONIC level of a Jordan and Federer no matter what they ever do or done
I'll give you Jordan but as a long time tennis fan his grand slams and weeks at no 1 is very attainable especially by Djokovic who right now has likely the greatest case for GOAT when it is all said and done. You can vouch for the ambassador-like status that Federer has and I'll give you that but in terms of dominance both single season and versus their contemporaries Djokovic has everyone beat and likely will have more career achievements. This is also coming from a huge Nadal fan but even for me I have to admit that Djoker has a really good case much better imo than any basketball player does with Jordan.
