  • This is a step by step tutorial on how to create a cut line for your Roland BN-20, Roland Versacamm, Roland TrueVis, Mimaki JV Series, Mutoh printer and more. This method works with Versaworks and other popular RIP software when designing stickers with Adobe Illustrator.

That was actually super helpful, especially for someone who only does this once in ahwhile

good tips! would be great to see a video on how you setup your Illustrator tools. Mine is all messed up and I can't find standard things like Align and Pathfinder because it keeps being hidden. Same for rulers and Character window/tab. Would be a great to learn how you setup your layout and what each window/tab is used for.

Thanks for reaching out. I’m in the middle of updating that video and adding new ones about simplifying tools in Illustrator.

Do you have a video like this but starting with a SVG?

Hi, SVG is a file type and should work with the same way the EPS file in the video works as long as it's a vector (line art) file and not an image. If you're starting with an image SVG file then you will want to change your image file to B/W and use the image trace feature under the object menu and select make an expand and save as an SVG file. If we get enough interest we can certainly make a step by step video

@@graphicinsights466 I meant to type PNG not SVG.. I searched your videos but didn’t know if you had made one previously

@@craftycathy8444 We don't have one yet, but the process in my first comment would be the same for a PNG file.
