Some of the things I wanted to tell the world... thanks to luke I was able to get them to you. When he came to India I had nothing else on my mind except that a CZcamsr was visiting India.. but how quickly we bonded.. my first friendship outside of India.. what made it so beautiful was your good heart luke.. You have always taken care of me throughout the journey..I am so sooooo lucky to have a friend like you..
talking about video, you are the best storyteller I have ever seen❤I was sure your video would be great but this is the best than I expected.I learned from you that it is possible to tell such beautiful stories.Thank you for being my friend, traveling with me, loving and caring so much..I sincerely wish you to travel many more, tell many stories, reach many heights..
Miss you sugar daddy😢
I read the comments on this video and when I read it I was very happy again. I have made some friends and relatives again. Heartfelt thanks for your love❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your story with us all 💓 you are so inspiring. I’m going to subscribe to your channel now. Looking forward to hearing more from you

One thing I love about Luke is that he never talks about himself. His videos are about the people he meets and he respects and listens to everybody he comes across. And he learns something from them. I really respect that.
Love his content ❤
Apparently you don't know anything about Luke and haven't seen his videos. He speaks too much about himself and mainly for this reason one of his recent videos got banned and removed from YT.

I just discovered Luke's channel and as I'm watching his videos I'm finding more and more comments of people I watch and I like. They say it right great minds think the same something like that.
The fact that she hasn't lost her trust in people despite the things she has been through is really special and inspiring. I got emotional from watching this, thank you Luke for using your platform to share such special stories, it's so valuable what you do! I wish her all the best in life and hope that she can continue to do what she does ❤️
Thank you dear❤
She directly said "they are mad", showing that she has put up a huge barrier around herself for protection.

I spent a lot of time hitch hiking through Tamil Nadu. It was quite difficult, because everytime the driver saw a white face, they wanted us to pay. But once we found a driver who took us for free, it was always worth the wait. Most of them even offered us some money and food. Indian people just are the kindest.

@@dimiberba2374 Yes, I've been to India 3 times. Even most Indians there don't trust each other. I remember the school book story my friend's son was studying in India in 2nd grade. Most people have the luxury of not having gone through her trials and tribulations yet still don't have the ability to generate similar clarity. Great story!

As an Indian fan of Luke since 2014, it’s such an honour to see him grow from just a simple CZcamsr who made funny videos to the person he is today making such beautiful videos showing his ups and downs, without hiding any imperfections or bad experiences. I love how he visited India finally after promising to come here, back in 2014! Thank you for coming and I hope you can keep coming back, Luke! 💓 And I hope you gain lots and lots of different experiences here because India is so diverse, you’ll get to see something different and hear a different language even within a distance of a few kilometres! ❤️ Thank you for making such a gorgeous video!!

Mad mad respect to Amu, it's not easy pulling yourself back from a bad/ failed marriage, since even if you want to forget the past, society won't let you, even while we think we're 'modern' that old mindset is still remains within us, which hopefully should change as new generation come.
It's nice and very refreshing seeing the goodness of people, when most are so self centred.

@@carrad123456 This is like telling there was a school sh**ting in USA. And all the children stopped going to school as schools are not safe anymore. There are rapes happening all over the world. Rapes happen in higher rates in Europe and USA compared to India. That does not mean that people stop living their life or live in constant fear in USA and Europe. Damn Luke. I don't even have words to define your content and why i love it so much but i will try. It's a breath of fresh air, it's powerful, it's generous, you can feel deep empathy and love for humanity, and it's centered on someone else than just you. And I freaking love that. CZcams is full of "me, me, me, look at me" which is okay bit it's ALL THE TIME with most creators. You speak ideas and beauty through other people. You're the best at finding people as random and lovable as Amu. That need their ideals, opinions, and bold and beautiful stories to be shared to the world. People like her break stereotypes, give hope and assurance. Amu is a legend. I have so much respect for what she has done, it's going against the standards of a whole society. Because she's in touch with her consciousness, and her sense of what's right. Oh and also I love the way you build your voice overs with B-Roll. Waiting for the next video. Much love dude♥️
Hearing her story I remembered a poem by Kahlil Gibran :
And a woman who held a baby against her bosom said, Speak to us of Children.
And he said:
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.
I respect our own culture, and our society structure, our sense of belongingness, our collectivist society, but for those who wanna be themselves, don't wanna be bound in the net called "what will others think?!!" mindset, you can't stop them from flying, from being free.
Thank you for sharing verses so
rich and beautiful.

As a Northeast Indian, I was fortunate enough to study in Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu). I had the opportunity to roam all over the South Indian states alone and i must say it was quite an experience! It was a blessing to have met all those wonderful people on the bus, the train and on the streets and just listening to their stories was a delightful memory and seeing this video somewhat made me nostalgic about it and you guys are really encouraging! ❤
The simple life, the villages, the nature and ordinary people going through their own hard lives but willing to help out a stranger, are what truly represent India. This was a fantastic video and Amu has such great character !
❤
but it shouldn't. Industries, tech companies, military might, space programs, infra is what should represent India.
@@aperture0 I think that both the modern and traditional aspects of a country are what make it special.
All countries have both of those things, and all countries have something to love, and lots of love to give.
Having a simple life, or a life "with the current times" doesn't matter so much, so long as you're enjoying the life you have.
There's so many values that we as humans have, and they vary from person to person and place to place. I think that's important to remember!
I teared up a lot during this. I can't imagine living in a world where I would feel free and free of what people think of me, what I want others to think of me, and free of time, no obligations, and just to live. You are both amazing. Loved this.
Your friend hasn't posted in over 4 months. I hope she is okay. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you for bringing us along.

This video moved me to tears. There's something so pure and raw about discovering a country by hitchhiking. You can read a 100 books about the place and watch a 1000 videos but when you hitchhike, you hear the heartbeat of the place stripped of commerce and vanity. It's been a long time since a CZcams video moved me this much. I love the effort you've put into it, Amu for her story and strength of character, and thanks for showing me that there are kind people even in a low trust country like India.

It felt like the story could go on and on and I would just be more intrigued. Hats off to Amu for breaking the barrier and achieving the freedom she desired! India is a crucial place to live on your own and being a woman it gets even more difficult cause of all the social pressure you get (even from strangers). I love her positive mind and care free attitude.
one of the most beautiful video that I have ever seen. People have different calling, not everyone is supposed to get married, raise kids , serve husband/wife for rest of their lives. Some are born to travel, meet people and see places but sadly most people dont realize their calling, their inner voice is so buried by the norms of society. I hope videos like this becomes an eye opener for all
Awesome video Luke, as always! It is so unfair to have to do something that makes you unhappy just because of social norms and what others may think. Amu seems so kind, I'm so glad she managed to get out of "the cage" regardless of those established traditions. Something I would like to know is if she felt any differences hitchhiking alone and as a woman than when she had company. Sending love ❤❤
This is a beautiful video. People who live on the road have the most heartening and inspiring stories and views, but they often go unnoticed. Thank you for sharing such a story
This video was no less than a inspirational movie. Someone can actually get this as a base concept to make a movie
This is the best story telling I have seen in a travel video. Most travel videos are about what they did, what food they ate, what places they visited. However, this video is about the people you meet on your journey, the comfort you feel in presence of strangers, and how travelling opens your heart to new cultures. This videos is about the adversities of life and how people cope with them and still believe in the world. Such a beautiful way of sharing your journey.
You know what Luke, you're making great stuff. I hope the algorithm pick it up more often. I'm glad to see you thriving again!
Luke!! I've been waiting to see what video you made in India! So excited to watch
EDIT: Wow, this was not what I expected. Amu's story is special, yet so common in India. Child marriage & divorce are still such big taboos.. thanks for opening up. As a half-Indian female traveller, Amu inspired me a lot. I've been dreaming about hitchhiking and discovering my country for years but part of me is scared for my safety. She's right, you should "learn from your experiences, not from what other people say", and go see what the world is about with your own eyes, not just what you've read in newspapers or seen on TV. I'm really looking forward to going back to India now and create my own luck 🇮🇳 Thanks Luke, well done :)

What a cool story. I am happy for her that she is finding what works for her to get her past what she went through.
Luke I love your content. There's truly nothing like it that I've found anywhere else on youtube. You're living my dream life and I don't think I'll ever be able to do it. Not for the reasons you might think. I am not shy, I have no problem with contacting a random stranger and getting to know them, and I am also not picky. I can and have slept in the street with no complaints. The problem is: I'm terrified for my safety. I know there are many amazing people out there, but all it takes is one to end my life. I just have to decide if it's worth the risk. Being a woman and a survivor of assault, I am scared to just pick up and go to a random country, though I dream of it every day. So, what I'm saying is, thank you for living my dream life for me, so I can see what it would be like through your videos.
Your storytelling is so mesmerizing! I have this crazy dream of travelling the world someday and meet new people and listen to their stories, but it's just a dream, for now. Maybe one day I will be able to travel and capture beautiful moments like you do.
