Pretty sure the dewalt multi tool can have the same belt clip fitted as the drill and impact etc

I Think you're right, there seems to be a screw hole for a clip (looking at images online)

I'm looking into getting that new Makita multi tool, but here in the US it's black and white. Does it fit under a toe kick like to sand the corners of a floor under cabinets? Thanks.

Honestly I couldn't tell you, I purchased a bare unit and the blade set I bought didn't come with a sanding attachment. However if you search online for "starlock sander", it'll result in the various different attachments you can purchase. The head on Makita is also quite large, so I don't know if that would infringe in anyway.

Should have mentioned it was a 18 volt as this looks very similar to the 40 volt one (although there was a 18 volt battery on the table). The other model on show looks thinner but longer, how does it compare to this new model?. I've never used one of these multi tools but was thinking about getting one. Thanks.

To my knowledge Makita don't do an XGT version of the multi tool, they're only 18v LXT. The new one is a vast improvement on its predecessor, but the blades are more expensive and the head is fat which can make it difficult in corners.

Why didn't you try the plastic pipes with slowest setting of 1?

Good point. No idea why, it would have been good to have done so. Maybe I'll do a short showing all the different speeds and effects.

The Starlock bits are exorbitantly expensive, double or three times more than normal matika bits.

That is the downside to them, you can get adapters that'll allow the use of the standard blades. Which machine do you use?

@@ItsShayn3_ if you do a Google search for starlock adapter, you'll see a few. I've not tried them myself so can't recommend any particular one.

That blade changing mechanism looks really fiddly and with a much higher risk of accidentally touching hot metal compared with Bosch Pro

Its actually okay when you're aware that blades get hot, that said, all blades get hot when used constantly.
But I do agree, Makita seem to be a little slow on the uptake when it comes to quick release mechanisms. One of the downsides to Starlock, the design doesn't allow for the blades to simply slide on/off.

bro, you need to edit your sound. the tools are too loud compared to your voice, you need to make those parts of the sound file quieter so i don't have to turn down my volume when start up a tool and turn up the volume when you start speaking again. i want to hear what you have to say but its too much hassle, especially when the kids are asleep.

Thanks for your comments. Yes I became aware of the sound issues but not until it was too late.
