    As people have pointed out the song is about a child wanting to be loved, but in a sinister/twisted way. So she sings in this way on purpose, the duality of the kid trying to be cute in one verse and lashing out and losing it in the next is great for me.

    Thanks for not shying away from being harsh and honest. As to the ups and downs of the aggressivenss here, its tied to what the song is about. Basically a neglected kid wanting the parents to love him/her. Aishite means ”love me”

      This points to one of the limitations of blind cold reactions. Ignorance over the lyrical context for the musical choices made. I think Ado has earned the respect to believe she has good reasons for what she does, and should pique your interest to understand the song lyrics instead of saying the screams are ridiculous.

      @@hookstrpd i mean, sure, but if I did it any other way, the channel would be a different channel. I quite like just giving my blind opinion on stuff, even if it turns out to be wrong in whatever way. I’m usually quite open to having my mind changed on things, so it’s fiiiiiine

    Mark, this song is actually a cover tune. The original was recorded almost ten years ago by a composer named Kikuo. His version is pretty easy to find on YT as "Ashite" or "Love me, love me, love me." He used a vocaloid for the original. Less angst, more cutesy. The interesting thing is that Ado's studio backing track is identical to Kikuo's version. Her people used it karaoke style and never re-recorded it. Definitely do a dive into Kikuo sometime. He's clever and bizarre.

    You're right, it's no coincidence that Ado talks about his Utaite subculture at the end of his concerts. The authors of her songs, many musicians, Vocaloid producers who perform with her are in this community. Utaite are known for their collaborations. So speaking of Ado, she has a whole community of creative people behind her

    Next could you react to "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"? It's an Ado original COINCIDENTALLY released on April 1st.
    The reactions to the seemingly random screaming was on point, the song being about a child striving to be loved, after all. Kids...

    Ado normally really embodies the lyrics very well, pretty much never see her over use the screams in places where it doesn't make sense. So yeah, they seem off in this song but as many people pointed out its a kid lashing out wanting to be loved. With her its usually safe to assume that she's not just adding a lot of shit for no reason, she's usually telling a story of some sorts.

    • @markabusireactions
      @markabusireactions  Před 10 dny +1

      Fair point. I have no clue what she’s singing about 90% of the time so I kinda just roll with it really

      @@markabusireactions No worries. without context of the song I think its a fair criticism to make and I think its refreshing to see someone actually voice potential criticisms instead of just full on dick riding the song, at least that way when you give it the "I have 0 complaints" like you said for value, it means a lot more.

    Ado is one of the few artist that don't get stuck in just one genre. She is the closest to a stage musical performer. All of the highs, lows and screams in her vocals are all placed in areas fitting to the lyrics and the story, its insane. You can feel the story without the lyrics, but you'll live through the story when you know the lyrics as well. Ado as usual, storytelling with genius voice play.

    Cover songs often don't have English subtitles. While 'Unravel' conveys the main character's anguish, frustration, and anger straight through even if it does not have English subtitle, this song seems to be a little twisted, or it's difficult to read the emotions without knowing the meaning.
    I wonder if the reason why the cover songs don't have English subtitles is due to copyright issues. The activity of adding English subtitles to cover songs would create a new copyright for those subtitles and complicate the copyright stuations?

    Well, Mark, the insanity of Ado's singing performance matches the insanity of the lyrics and, at that, the pain of the character Ado's depicting, an abused (neglected) girl who had turned into a woman that wouldn't receiving the attention ('love') she demands. The writer and producer of more of this kind of visit to the asylum is called Kikuo.

  • @AkihikoKoga
    @AkihikoKoga Před 9 dny

    Haven't you listened to Ado's Dignity yet?
    It's a slow ballad, and Ado's voice resonates beautifully. It is the theme song of the live-action movie "THE SILENT SERVICE" about a nuclear submarine, whose story is based on the long-termed Manga (1988-1996). However, the story of the music video seems to have nothing to do with the movie and the Manga, other than it takes place in the deep under the sea.
    There are an animated music video and a live[*] versions in CZcams, and of course I prefer to the live version, but I think it's better to first watch the music video along with the lyrics (subtitle) to get a better understanding of the song. For those who are satisfied with just the music and vocals, the live version may be enough, but for those who appreciate the whole thing, including the meaning, I think it would be better to listen to it step by step.
    Before listening to Dignity, it is good to know the minimum settings for the music video, and since this is public, I don't think it will be a spoiler. However, I think there are some people who want to listen to it without any preconceptions, I will write it separately in the following comments.
    [*] I think there is no official live version in CZcams currently.

      In this comment, I write the settings for Dignity's music video. This is publicly available information, but if you do not want to know it, please do not read the following text.
      ----
      There seems to have been a battle a long time ago, and there is an (AI) robot girl left alone on a sunken nuclear submarine. Maybe the nuclear reactor of the submarine is still alive and she can move within range of the power cable.
