I've watched it like 10 times and I laugh just as hard every time.
If you're going to blend your marinade, you should always use the cilantro stems. They have more flavor than the leaves and give a use to something that generally gets discarded. And then you can use the leaves to add to enhance the finished product.
You can eat every part of cilantro including the roots.
I was literally about to comment on that as soon as I saw him leaving it out, but you already said everything. The stems are absolutely the best part of the plant to give you the boost of flavour you need, especially in marinades.

@@leedoss6905That's one hell of a back-handed compliment. I think some people have the gift and some people don't. Everything else can be taught and these details about your ingredients are what makes it so fun, because you never stop learning. It's an art and I think he's creative and learning out of his love for it, as all great artists do. That doesn't make someone ignorant though just because they didn't know everything or go to some fancy culinary arts program.

Perfection! Add some fire roasted salsa + chips and the party is complete! ( 5 Vine ripe tomatoes, 3 jalapenos, two heads of garlic roasted - all on the grill and then put into a blender with some kosher salt and maybe a little bit of lime juice. This recipe is from Rosarios Restaurant in San Antonio. It's incredible.)

Many micheladas are “red beer”, what you refer to when talking about adding tomato juice.
A real Michelada is clam juice, lime juice, a splash of Worcestershire, a healthy dose of Chile sauce (cholula) and finally topping with the beer. Keep the rest of the beer to top off the glass as you drink

Quick tip for pick your limes. The juiciest limes have a very smooth and shiny surface to them. If they have a textured peel on them then they generally won't render as much juice. Loved this video!!

- 1oz grand marnier
- .75oz fresh lime juice

Sam....the only use I have for table salt is when I pop popcorn the old-fashioned way: deep pot and hot oil. Outside of that, it's Kosher salt or flaky salt.

I want all of these things! Ideally, I would have someone else spend all day cooking so I didn't have to, but I could probably manage them one at a time. Those shrimp tacos are going to happen soon, but probably with some added cabbage for crunch. I'm not a tequila drinker, but the tomato/orange/onion drink sounds different and refreshing. Maybe I'll swap out some icy, bone dry pinot grigio for the tequila...

What is Cindo De Mayo?
To be a proud father is one of the greatest things in man's life.
Margarita recipe is a 3-2-1 recipe. 3 parts tequila, 2 parts cointreau and 1 part lime. Should be shaken with ice for airation, dilution and chilling. You can scale to any volume when you prepare the margarita recipe. Then when needed you can shake with ice and serve.

The food was brilliant, those San Diego Avos are just plain beautiful. Sangrita is 100% on point, I like rubbing the glass with a sliced garlic clove first but that is right on. No S&S in margaritas though, they have too few ingredients to shortcut proper lime juice, unless its a frozen one, in which case just pour tequila in a gas station slushy.
