Totally agree with most all of these suggestions. I hadn’t thought of Gnarlroot instead of Signet, but that makes a ton of sense. Lastly, I think you were insinuating that Serpents Soul-Jar can cast more than one creature spell when you pay it’s cost, but you can only cast one creature exiled with it per activation. That’s the main reason I’ve not included it so far. Curious what your experience with it has been though.
I might have insinuated that. Sometimes cards get me with just adding a single word. But even so, I feel like I would rather have it as a back up to slowly rebuild than not have it. Plus, you have the chance to replay Lathril at its original cost! If you have a decklist, though, or any suggestions, feel free to let me know!
@@MV_Magic7337 It definitely seems appealing to have a way to rebuild after the inevitable (multiple) boardwipes you have to manage while playing elves. There are only so many Heroic Interventions in the world! I haven't put my build into an online decklist yet. But I'd love your thoughts so I'll knock that out!
@@BenjaminIMeszaros If you can't get past a boardwipe, honestly, it may just be better to just rebuild. If your playgroup does run a lot of boardwipes, then maybe a Rise of the Dark Realms? And if you need a website to put your deck on, I would recommend Archidekt, cause, for one, I'm not sponsored by Moxfield, and because it just feels right to use. I feel like the simpler layout helps with the deck, and you don't really need all of the other stats until you've played enough games with them. Which helps because of the Playtester.
I think a better solution to Soul Jar post boardwipes would be to cast Patriarch's Bidding. Although it helps your opponents, it costs you way less mana to bring all your creatures back.
Taking out abomination of lanowar is a mistake. It is the only defense you have against a mill deck, and really allows your graveyard to be a valuable resource.
I'd swap Crown of Skemfar for Alpha Status and Golgari Findbroker for Bala Ged Recovery. Lowers your curve, more bang for the buck, and smooths your mana, if needed. I realize Findbroker is an Elf, but you have plenty already and with 31 lands and an average CMC of 2.97, you need to lower your curve AND add more mana. I'm guessing you mulligan a bit more than normal regardless of all the mana dorks you have.
I mean, with an aggressive mulligan, you can be pretty safe with it. I’ve had no issues this far, but haven’t been able to play much, so I wouldn’t know too much. I’ve been too focused on Oathbreaker recently😂
Honestly, it seems like you could use it as a place holder for Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh, so I would look at that deck that I make. But if you want a specialized one, then let me know!
@MagicalVess ones that stuck out the most are great henge for glisa, dont get me wrong glisa is insane but not as great henge, and vanquishers banner for serpent is just wrong imo, Also pact of the serpent its a great card for drawing more cards as long as you have enough life but I usually cast it when i have about 4 or more creatures and that happens as early as turn 3 most of the time, also arcane signet for root, it is a elf creature heavy deck and gnarlroot makes sense but most lathril deck have alot of 1 mana creatures and its harder to remove signet than a creature and you can tap it for mana the same turn it drops, thats how i feel cuz i play lathril every week since she came out, made tons of changes and am happy with where it is now, also one card i would always add to a creature deck that makes alot of mana if finale of devastation, it is alot of mana but payoff is huge also tutors a creature if you dont have much mana

If you can get your curve below, say 2.5, then I think your deck could support only 31 lands.

Most cards you wanna substiture are low power lvl, idk what play group you have but some changes are to power down a deck
