It’s brilliant to see how happy you are with this amazing performance and that you have put those Kona nightmares to rest. I have to be honest, I wasn’t sure if you were going to beat Taylor and was dreading you finishing 4th again, not because I don’t like Taylor, she’s awesome and will have so many more opportunities, but because I’ve been hoping to see you perform, for example, like you did in Frankfurt a couple of years ago and finish on the podium (as I believed you could). Congratulations to you, Phillip and the Team, your videos showed your meticulous preparation including days where you struggled mentally and physically to complete workouts, I found this both inspiring and reassuring as an Age Group athlete. Hope to bump into you again sometime in the future, I’m off to Indian Wells 70.3 for my last race of the year then in 2024 will attempt my first Ironman in Tallin. Cheers from Scotland 🏴

Hey Laura. First of all - great race!! I saw you live, been on the track. Amazing, to see how you performed in these brutal conditions - even I was watching the race it was brutal, especially on QueenK and Ali'i. Recovering well!!

Laura, mein Algorithmus hat mir vor ein paar Jahren dein Kanal vorgeschlagen. Bis zum dem Zeitpunkt hatte ich überhaupt keine Berührungspunkte mit Triathlon. Durch dich jedoch habe ich eine Affinität zu dieser Sportart entwickelt. Das Rennen zu sehen war unglaublich inspirierend. Ich danke dir, das du durch deine Videos den Triathlon sichtbarer machst. Deine Leistung ist so beeindruckend. Ich war Vorort. Als du etwas später aus dem Wasser kamst hatte ich aber nie Angst, dass du nicht in die Top 5 kommst. Du hast so ein krasses Mindset und mit dem Fahrrad fahren und dem Laufen kommen ja erst deine richtig krassen Disziplinen. Beim Laufen standen wir am Turningpoint auf dem Alii Drive. Als die Moderatorin dann am Ziel ankündigte, dass du als nächstes ins Ziel kommst war das sooooo krass. Ich hab auch ein kleines Video zu diesen wahnsinns Rennen gemacht. Es war einfach so inspirend all diese Powerfrauen racen zu sehen. Erhol dich gut!😊

Congratulations on your brilliant performance. It was wonderful to share a historic course with you. Thank you for sharing specifically your cycle challenges and how you hoped. As a vegan 80/20 raw whole foods plant based athlete, I would be Interested to hear what worked for you on race day. I had my own energy balls made mostly of dates and walnuts and hydration as well as spirulina.
