  • This weekend I am looking at / unboxing / reviewing the BASEUS i-wok series Screen Hanging Light or Lamp as some will call it.
    It is a budget Screen Lamp from Baseus and is it worth the purchase?
    Is the built good? or is it made out of cheap material?
    Does it really light up your work desk area efficiently?
    Watch and decide for yourself and is it worth your money
    Disclaimer.
    I am not sponsor by BASEUS or anyone or shops.
    The purchase is paid by me and that, it is brought for my own actual use for my own work desk.

    Thanks for commenting on the glare! I was most concerned about that when considering this vs more expensive models.

    Thank you for this review as it is a much better one than one I just looked at. The previous one did not show the light working nearly as affectively as your one does. So, you’ve change my mind!

      Thks. I tried to be as clear as possible and from a user angle. I am quite happy with it till
      Date as it serve well to me as a work / study desk lamp and also, extra light source good enough to help me make videos for my our channel (CampingPanda SG) on my desk 😁

    Could you have turned off all other light, so only screen and screen lamp? I suffer from screen light as only light source being hard on the eyes so I would like to see how it works for surrounding light to reduce the hard light from only screen.

    length of cable is 153mm? only 6inches? thats too short, probably you mean 153cm=60inches

  • @Anorexus.design
    @Anorexus.design Před 4 lety

    Thank you for sharing this! Very thoughtful even for the length of the cable (considering this since I need a long USB cable for better cable management)
    Just one thing, I might miss some part but how you control the LED with Google home?

    • @WilliamCheangSingapore
      @WilliamCheangSingapore  Před 3 lety

      Armas Nurbahari
      U can’t control it directly as there’s no WiFi from it.
      Even if u connect to a WiFi plug. U still need to manually press the side button to on it.
      So don’t think it can be done using Google or Alexa

    I wish to buy this to use it as a study lamp , since it takes up very less space . Thus can I use this light to light up my desk and use it to comfortably study (I always keep the monitor on the end of my desk) ?

    • @WilliamCheangSingapore
      @WilliamCheangSingapore  Před 2 lety

      Just note that it uses USB power input. So if u intend to use as a study lamp. Need to have incoming power from the monitor (switch on) or have a USB wall plug for the lamp.

    Do you encounter static hissing noise when dimming the light?
    Full brightness is alright, but on dim light produced this annoying high pitch noise

    did you power it on via monitor USB ports or directly to your power plug? Thanks.

    • @WilliamCheangSingapore
      @WilliamCheangSingapore  Před 3 lety

      From monitor USB
      If u opt for external. Then an usb plug / power bank is required.
      Theres no batteries in the light itself

    I don't if it's just me, but whenever I turn mine on, I hear a high pitched noise. Some of you might not hear it since I'm still quite young so my ears can hear some of the high frequencies that a person aged more than me can't.

    • @WilliamCheangSingapore
      @WilliamCheangSingapore  Před 3 lety

      Myself or my kid (9 yrs old) cant hear it. Even when the room is quiet or as part of my video light. Been using for few months.

    Can I mount Logitech C920 webcam on this lamp stick??

    • @WilliamCheangSingapore
      @WilliamCheangSingapore  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi
      Don’t think u can as the C920 base may not be able to hold onto the lamp as the mall body is rounded.
      But of really want to, I guess some creative improvisation with double sided tape and foam may works. 😉

    Can I use this for laptop?

    • @WilliamCheangSingapore
      @WilliamCheangSingapore  Před 3 lety

      Depends
      If the screen side is thin and flappy. May not be ideal.
      Also with the lamp brightness and standard laptop or MacBook screen size ~ 10.5-15”. Think it’s an overkill.
