I’m thankful for this podcast and all of the genuine people involved. This thanksgiving was the first holiday I’ve had without my mom. I sat at home with the dogs today instead of going out. It hit me harder than I thought it would at first but this episode came out of nowhere and genuinely put a huge smile on my face and distracted me for 4 hours. Thank you guys so much for your hard work. Keep it coming!

Ok so yeah im am a 16 year old who works at dairy queen an does the dishes and this is the best thing to listen to while i am working my boring 6 hours a day and i discovered this podcast maybe about a year ago and i still never get tired of your voices and awesome topics and storeys, this also made me forget about my depression and y'all make me smile way too much.( Pardon my horrible grammar)

This is the greatest Thanksgiving gift ever
I know Kaya has shit on Daredevil before but I highly suggest watching that show. Avatar the Last Airbender is A tier but Daredevil is just so well written, tense, and the character development is methodical. The fight scences are fantastic and each season is great. I feel like Charlie or Jackson would really like it.
The movie was so bad though, and it's blended together in my brain with the Haley Barry Catwoman movie

League still has really good lore. The statement from a few years back was about seperating the lore from the game and resetting the lore. Characters used to have a reason to be in the game, now they are just characters in the world. Which allows riot to have more freedom with the characters they want to make
Yeah, i think charlie saying the show has nothing to do with the game is a bit misleading. If you play the game you know where the characters are heading, just not as spread out as in the show.

I wasn't sure about watching Arcane, until this podcast. And holy fucking shit I could not be more thankful. That is genuinely one of the greatest things I've ever seen onscreen. It's one of those things that's so good that you find it hard to enjoy anything else after it
The gun Alic Ballchin was using on set had to be intentionally cocked in order to fire since the gun he was using didn’t have the capability of pulling the trigger and it cocking the hammer back itself.

So the whole issue with the revolver on the set of Rust is complicated. If I remember correctly the movie is supposed to be a western. If that is true then the revolver Alec Baldwin was using was probably from that time period, considering that they were using a real revolver. At the time cowboys only loaded five bullets into their six shooter; resting the hammer in the empty chamber. They did this because due to a lack of a separate firing pin and hammer, misfires happened very often (pretty much every time they bumped into something). So it is probable that while unholstering Baldwin could have shot the pistol. On the other hand if Baldwin was given a double-action revolver he could have shot the pistol if his finger was on the trigger. Given Baldwin’s anti-gun social media posts, it is most likely that he had no experience with gun safety and had his finger on the trigger.
Do you really need experience with gun safety to know the finger trigger is what fires the bullet?

Well evidently Baldwin is now claiming he didn’t even cock the hammer or pull the trigger. He is clearly lying, but knows so little about guns that he doesn’t realize how unbelievable his story is.

Hey wait so I am really happy to see Andrew having a really firm understanding of show production. That being said, he described only one way in which a show can get made when referring to Avatar The Last Airbender. However, ATLA itself was actually Nickelodeon approaching Michael DiMartino for a show, and Aaron Ehasz gave him a literal elevator pitch soon after. They were fans of each other, and the concept was great, and so thus began ATLA concepting and design. Even the absolute best shows can come out of the red and blue :]

We need better writers. Characters, dialogue, development, action, humor, conflict, drama and all that needs to be there and it needs to be done in a way that makes at least some sense. If you have something important to say, it will come through your writing. If you work enough. If you have nothing to say, then just do something else until you figure it out. Or maybe you're meant to tell the story with a different medium. Love for your work is very obvious to the audience and the lack of love and respect for another person's story makes me sad. Even if you have the rights to the story, that isn't really yours if you didn't write it, and it really shows up in all of these adaptations.
