Chocolate Sauce to Pipe or Pour...

  • This is a smooth and silky chocolate sauce which can be poured over a dessert or piped into cakes. To thin the sauce for pouring, just warm the sauce and add milk a little at a time, mixing after each addition until the desired consistency is reached.
    It is lovely used to fill a large cake or little cupcakes before frosting them...

    Ingredients
    200g dark Bournville chocolate
    40g caster sugar
    130ml Milk
    75ml Double Cream
    35g Cubed butter
    Method
    1) Melt the chocolate gently in the microwave stirring occasionally
    2) In a saucepan add 40g caster sugar, 130g milk and 75ml double cream. Heat stirring continuously until bubbles begin to appear
    3) Pour this over the melted chocolate and stir well.
    4) Return to the heat and continue stirring for 1 minute
    5) Whisk in the butter cubes and beat until smooth and glossy then set aside until needed
