When a group of people contact the place you work, the store that you shop in, the banking institutions that handle your finances or the doctor that cares for your health, in order to place a rift between you and that social circle, you've encountered those that engage in cancel culture. They're trying to isolate you, place you in a untenable position, in order to frighten you and cause you to give in to their demands. It's about control and power.
If you don't or WON'T acknowledge that this happens, you've either never done anything that would bother these power hungry autocrats or you're one of them and are trying to cover it up.

Even though I had asked the board when I moved in if I could convert to gas and that I had pics of listings of unit from before I lived there with it in the description. Well It only took a nicely crafted letter from a lawyer to get them to back all the way off. Most HOAs are bullies and once you show that you aren't backing down they run away like the 3rd grader who finally gets popped in the nose.

The republicans never bring up politics but the liberals are constantly in your face about it. They want to know who you voted for. I'm neither left or right wing. I used to associate with the left in my teens but I'm more nuanced these days. He agreed to the terms of the HOA. Christina had probably been trying to get the previous homeowner to remove the “illegal” stones but many HOAs have little actual power. That is why they come on so strong. Also, the cost of everything went up in 2021. HOAs properly managed protect property values.
