@@dawes73 Actually, when this went out Julia MacKenzie was best known for the ITV sitcom 'Fresh Fields' and the follow up 'French Fields'. William was her husband, played by Anton Rodgers and Sonia was the next door neighbour played by Anne Beech.
@@dawes73 Sort of Thames' answer to Terry & June, but in Fresh Fields it was Hester who was always trying new things and William was the calm one. It's still shown on ITV3 and there are DVDs of it.
So, we now know what Hester is giving William for his tea, but the question is - will Sonia come round and borrow it?

Of course yes, the penny literally just dropped after I'd asked that! I never really watched it at the time, but I know it was a popular sitcom.
