Welcome to my channel!
Firstly thank you for stopping by and browsing my collection, whether it was by chance or you were looking for a particular advert or trail.
In a time where mental health & dementia are affecting so many, adverts can have a very positive effect and reignite forgotten memories or remind us of happier times.
Where I am trying to be different, is to put adverts into individual playlists but more importantly try to give an exact date each video was originally transmitted.
As I have many hundreds of vhs tapes of television recordings from the 1980's,1990's and early 2000's, unfortunately I cannot predict what I'm going to find when copying from analogue to digital, so please subscribe if you want to be kept informed.

If you're in the UK I heartily recommend the Fiat Motor Club (GB) Facebook group as there's lot's of great information there and I post a lot of old magazine adverts and car reviews on it.

It definitely the date I've stated as it ties in with the program it was recorded with I'm afraid.
In this year, Forte was taken over by Granada and would lead to the downfall of LC.
Sad times, even if I had a dodgy apple pie at Frankley Services many years ago!

Ha, I've been looking for this ad for years. Last seen on TV in 1996. Thanks for uploading it. I remember my work colleagues and I chuckling about this ad, as it was a bit trippy. I still think it is.

@@MyGirlyStuff Lange did a different bodyform advert I believe but not the vocals for the well known "Woeee body form" one. McKenzie did the vocals for the "Woeee body form" song advert.

I was two months old and from America, commercials are better with a British accent.
I'd say it works both ways as it's sometimes nice to hear a different voice accent every so often.

OMG! I've finally found it! The years I've spent trying to track this down. The information I had to work with, was that it was a lager advert from the late 90's some time after the big Euro 96 / Three Lions song phenomenon, contained a Britpop tune in the background which was possibly Song 2 by Blur or something very like it, and had that joke about the bloke behind you in a pub. You'd think that would be just about enough info to lead you to it, but it exists absolutely nowhere. No info, no clips, nothing. Over the past few weeks, I decided to try and put this search to bed and go all out nuclear Googling to find it. I strongly believed that it was a Carling advert, but also possibly Carlsberg. But try searching for Carling / 90's / and football, see what rabbit hole of the wrong adverts it takes you down. What got me here in the end, was a sudden whim to call the year as definitely 1998 based only on pure memory of when I thought it aired, and to drop the word Carling, as it poisoned the search results every time. Just 'lager advert 1998' finally brought up the correct result top of the pile. Thank you so much for posting this video, I just don't think I would ever have found it otherwise. If it does exist elsewhere online, it's hidden way beyond my reach. It's just an advert I once found funny, and nobody else remembered it.

Oh that's a fantastic link to have. It's surprising how many messages I get from people who have worked on various adverts. To be fair, all my adverts are on VHS too!

I'm curious about a Umatic player, that's a new one on me, is it the equivalent of an audio DAT player?

I taped this very episode of Moviedrome and Mad Max II that followed all those years ago. I believe it was followed by Akira after midnight. What a line up.
Always good to see a fellow Moviedrome follower! It may not be correct but according to the TVRDb (Television & Radio Database) it reckons that Orson Well's "F for Fake" followed at 11pm.
I'm pretty sure I have this on VHS, taped off the tv, somewhere as well!!
Now I have completed a search on TVRDb.com and I believe I may have this cleared up! So I have a date of 8th January 1994 BUT with a double bill of Mad Max (the first movie) and then Akira, although it's not showing any reference to Moviedrome although that's not to say you're not wrong. It's a good website to use though and the majority of listings are taken from trusted sources apparently.
@@OnlyAdverts Yeah I found that also. I posted a link to a listing for that showing, might have gone in a spam bin as had a link. Think I confused my two vhs copies. MM2 had Moviedrome, MM had Akira 😆
