Great video! A COUPLE OF TIPS for the viewers: if you're like me and have trouble germinating spinach seeds when sown directly into the soil, plant them between wet paper towels in sealed plastic bags and keep the bags in the refrigerator or other cool place until they germinate, then sow them in the soil. Also, bottom-watering is less maintenance. Plant the seeds in grow bags filled with potting mix, put the bags in a large saucer or tub, and pour water into the saucer or tub so that it goes about two inches up the side of the grow bag. The water will wick into the soil through the sides of the grow bag (or fabric pot). You will water less frequently this way, and the water will first go to where it needs to go - the roots of the plants. :)

Plant your spinach in rows instead of simply sprinkling seeds randomly. It'll help you to water efficiently without disturbing the root zone and will also provide you ample space to apply any kind of compost.
Trust me, they grow even better this way...! Harvest spinach all winter. Happy Gardening..!

    • @barawen_who
