Same here! Watched this back in the late 80s with my uncle and I still have to think of it to this day. Such an awesome science fiction movie with a great synth soundtrack!
Thanks for the upload. I watched this when it premiered and really loved it. These days I can't think the phrase 'something is out there' without thinking of Somethin IS Out There'.
When I saw this and the other episode I loved every bit of it, I was always interested in the Xenomorph and it's bug like appearance, they way it was intelligent to speak through its human host, terrifying but amazing design As for the characters them self they didn't disappoint at all, usually human characters would, but not these and then again this was made in 1988, back then they knew how to make humans seem cool. That bit with poor Frank had me gutted, he was such a good guy, the way Jack just held him and such was just emotional.
I just created a thread on the movie board on tigerdroppings asking if someone could figure out what this show was called based off of the guy looking like Kirk Douglas and the chalkboard scene. I must have been like 5 year old when I watched this 😂
Ta'Ra will be a hypercompenant POC of indeterminate gender who don't need no man. Jack Breslin will either be totally incompetent straight white male, or re-imagined as a shy, gay black man. The monster will be misunderstood illegal immigrant hunted by racist conservatives.
taken me while to find this un opened factory sealed as i collect vintage vs tapes never thought id see it again such great memories scared me as a kid but stuck with me u no what i mean and no i haven't opened it lol
Jack Breslin is annoying; always yelling, always hyper emotional, absolutely undisciplined, bad mannered, unholded type, doesn’t look a cup at all! Had it been happened in real life they would have had long since been detected by either FBI or CIA or whoever in charge: an ordinary local police officer even a commissioner’s son in law wouldn’t cover such a big thing as a first encounter with so much damage and victims going along.
I'll admit, I never *quite* understood what happened to Frankie. How he died. All I gathered from the dialogue was "the gas man did this" but I never understood exactly what went down.
I love this movie. Saw it as a kid and never stopped liking it. Scared me when I first saw it.
Yep, so much it has stayed with me till this day. C.h.u.d. is another 😨
same here.
This was back when there was a perfect balance between special effects, good writing, and good performances. A rarity these days.
I also love the synth music in this film. I think it is due for a comeback.

Excelente producción 👌 marcó mi niñez por allá en 1989
The scene between Jack and Ta'Ra at 50:00 to 52:58 is so beautiful. And the background music compliments it perfectly.
I want the 80s back so I can watch this for firs time
5:36 is why I always remembered this film. I never forget the title, just off this scene. Scared me as a kid.

I remember that I was seven years old and I was very scared by the scene of the doctor or professor who writes fast
24:00 this entire scene was nightmare fuel for me when I was a kid
I love old horror movie .
Don't make movies like they use to ay. 80s had great movies.

I can't forget this show. I was a kid and scared so bad! Particulary the scene at 39:27 .. was like a trauma to me
This is interesting story and it's inside body monster
Im watching
Hoyts/Columbia Pictures Television/TeleVentures (1988)
Is it just me, or does Jack's bird sound a lot like the voice of Howie Mandel?
I believe I'd of went to in Jack's place

Ostentatious Savant I believe so. Thank You for your question!
Yes, he was thoroughly unlikable. He wasn't even that hot. What Mandy saw in him is beyond me, and she was annoying as hell.

@@NahualliUoxtitla Presumably the shapeshifting alien showed up disguised as the gas man and attacked him.
It was the 1980's, when cowboy cops roamed the Earth.
