This show was so good and was way ahead of it's time.. it ended too soon unfortunately.
With this being from Columbia Pictures Television, it should've had a credit stating "Executive in Charge of Casting Rick Jacobs."
And hey, I saw the NBC In Stereo logo, too!

EDIT: This was an excellent program...just the right amount of suspense! However. it did remind me of "House of Wax" (1953 in 3-D)!

Just stumbled across this I had no idea this was made into a TV series. Just what we needed another cop show. The movie was really good, but this is crap. Would have been better had they stayed on a more sci-fi theme. Perhaps another creature hunt, Or some of the cons escaped to earth OR suppose they found some other aliens that intended harm to the earth and its people. Sad to see such a good start go to waste. Someone below mentioned that this episode reminded them of the movie, House of wax. I can see that. When the movie came out it reminded me of an episode of Lost in Space. Where this Zoo keeper has all these creatures from all over the stars. And like always Dr. Smith ends up screwing things up by setting them free. A few years back they came out with a movie called, Outlander. Kind of the same idea but set in Viking time.
