On the escalade they do have an exterior key hole, there’s a plastic cover you have to remove on the driver door handle to expose the key hole.

The Cadillac Escalade has a cover beside the door handle that pops off revealing a keyhole. On the key fob there is a Botton you press that pops a key out. You stick the key in the key and turn, and the door pops open lol. But yeah, I would rather have normal door handles.

I hate the electronic handles in my 2021 escalade, they don't even work properly most of the time but the dealer says it's normal. When i push the button in and quickly pull and not let go of the button the door will open a bit but lock in the middle area and i have to depress and press again to get it to release so i can open the door. The dealer said that i was opening the door "too fast" even though I'm opening it perfectly normal and that i need to press the button and wait a second before pulling the handle. What a damn joke.

Eurovans are great for camping. Some had the Westfalia package with a pop-up roof, stove, sink, etc. These were the "van-life" before van life became a thing. The engine in that one is a 2.8L 6-cylinder, which started later in the Eurovans life. It greatly improved what little performance they had!

Part of the reason im stuck in the mid-late 00's with my cars. The direct injection and afm has made longevity a thing of the past for most people's cars. If your not dropping thousands at the mechanic or becoming one yourself its damn near impossible to keep a newer car 200k miles.

Agree with you 100% on the Cadillac door handles Randy. Technology for technologies sake. As a Design Engineering Director, we recognize it as a Marketing game of "one-ups-manship". Unfortunately, the robust engineering, consumer acceptance, cost containment, and durability are often overlooked in an effort to sell a more "feature-rich" or "high profile" product than the competition. Not only in cars but other consumer durable goods. Advances in technology are important but at what cost Cadillac? GM's revolving door of leadership continues to fail to learn from its past. Many other companies fail customers for different reasons, but often because of their own egos.

I work for a car rental co. We get the newest greatest cars on a regular basis. Its true for everything from GM, Ford Toyota all of them. Some more then others. Our cars come off the truck with 2 - 3 miles on them...already broken. there very cool but very annoying

Why are we talking about the 6.2 that looks like a diesel . Hailed on , rained in , junk ?

Those engines can be completely converted to normal engines (not just a software bypass) for around $6000, if anybody thinks it's worth that much. They have so many other problems, including all that self driving BS that applies the brakes and turns the steering wheel by itself. Talk about dangerous. I just bought myself a like new 36,000 mile 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis. Most reliable vehicle ever built. No trash technology.

That E93 is definitely a good flip. Also ECS Tuning is just a parts company for BMWs, similar to FCP

Not fair for someone who almost took your word for it... I suggest anyone doing the same do your research first and you will find that their is a manual override key slot on the drivers door and a emergency key in your Key fob

That's the dumbest thing . Never heard of that and would be a deal breaker. Took a magnum srt for a test drive . Got a mile away getting on the highway and told my wife to step on it , don't slow down we are gonna get slammed by a truck . She says " I have it to the floor but it ain't goin .. " . Sat on the side of the highway with thick black smoke from 1 tailpipe . We gimped it back to the dealer . Got the salesman and said " ah I think their is something seriously wrong with that car and we are not interested. Then walked away . Left it running it front of their showroom doors . Pouring smoke like a town mosquito fogger from the late 60s early 70s . If you seen 1 you'll know what I mean

What’s funny is the Escalade you were looking at is a diesel. You can tell by the D at the end of the 600 on the back.

I was playing with build and price on the Dodge website. The problem with the V8 is they all including the 6.4 ( non supercharged) have cylinder deactivation.

The 4 wheel sreer Sierra was in the video that had the old school cadillac as the thumbnail. The Sierra was right next to the red ranger you were looking at.

What’s the story with the off limits section? I saw a 1950s something over there that would be fascinating to see more of.

Probably those vehicles still need to be registered at Copart and documented.
